My last piece of silver for a year!

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

So I’m going to be attempting to not spend any money (except for essentials, bill etc.) for a whole year!

This is a challenge I want to set myself to help pay down some debt & to build up an emergency fund. Most of my cash is tied up in investments & I want rebalance that.

So to kick start this challenge I’d like to buy 1 last piece of silver.. something special.. something unusual!

My budget is £100 including delivery.

I’ll be documenting this challenge on YouTube, so this piece of silver will be a part of that first video when I announce what I’m doing!

I’ll decide which piece I’ll buy on 31st October, so please post photos and prices on this topic 🤩

Lets see what you’ve got!!

It’s not mine but how about a silver sauce boat? You could incorporate it into a series on money saving saucy recipes e.g ‘EP#43 bisto with marmalade’

Best of luck with this challenge, you may have already done this but it would be best to move the balances from the credit cards to a 0% one if possible so you aren’t spending any money on interest in the next 12 months.

I can also recommend reading the book “The richest man in Babylon” I think it’s now available in PDF for free on the internet somewhere (save spending any money on it)

I've a couple of high quality ancient Roman Imperial silver denarii coins. I've painstakingly and enjoyably identified all myself. The image is not up to date as a few have sold since this edit. The document attached is an example of a document you will receive with some info on the coin, etc. I can get 'em out if these tickle your fancy :)

Lot Coin #22 - Septimius Severus RIC 211, Sear 6340.pdf

Always shipping with re-used or biodegradable packaging.

Looking to sell some items to fund a holiday. I've got some items for sale. PM me or check my profile if interested: Hitler's 3rd Reich 2 Reichsmark Coins, Roman Imperial Denarii and Other silver coins/items.

Thanks :D I've got something on the cheaper side as well. These have all sold and the ones that remain are higher quality, but just to have an idea of the type of coin :)

What about buying more pieces with your £100?😊

You have probably never tried the canadian pre 68 silver .800 coinage, denominations of 1 Dollar, 50c, 25c and 10c. They are amazing, pretty cheap and a beautiful way to stack quality circulated old currency coins. If you will like them, you can find much more from forum or Ebay. Personally, I am a big fan of them and I want to promote the canadian silver on forum.

The melting value per 1 Dollar face value is now £11.46 and usually they are selling starting from £12, going up to £16, depending of years and condition. I can prepare for you a very nice quality batch of 8 dollars face value (8 x 23.33g x 0.800 purity = 149.31g equivalent pure silver), different denominations and types (portraits, reverses), at £12/1 Dollar. This will be:

8 x £12 + £4 shipping 1st class = £100.🤗

I can guarantee that you will have a selection of very good looking coins, at least 4 x 1 Dollar, at least 5 x 50c, at least 8 x 25c, at least 5 x 10c.

See examples on Numista pages:

I am at work today, but I can prepare for you a 8 Dollars batch and add some pictures with what you will receive if I will be the winner of your competition.

Cheers and good luck to all competitors!

Stefan.

Hey 365DOS !

How about this little hand poured .999s fine silver flesh eating zombie prototype guy?

You are starting and finishing your silver fast on Halloween so this might help you remember the date to start feeding again!

He weighs 71gms / 2.3ozt

£85.00 including p&p

This also gives you £15 left over towards a bottle of Bourbon :)

You can see him being born here!

Now this definitely ticks the special & unusual boxes!

I'm not selling these by the way, merely an idea of some good stuff that's out there, if you're looking for interesting pieces.

I should have read your original post in more detail!

Everyone on here knows I'm going to be buried with my stash. 😁

Hi, 365. Definitely a good idea to get an emergency fund and concentrate on clearing debts, good luck this year. I find buying metals a little addictive it will be interesting to see how you progress and if you can resist the urge to buy.

My offering. East India company 1 oz silver proof three graces and 2 x Thalers. £97.50 delivered via RMSD

Cheers Kuss
