Excellent News. Just heard from the bank and they have refunded me the entire £850!!! Thanks so, so much to all the forum members, moderators and @BackyardBullion who have all very kindly offered messages of support, advice and more than generous donations. It really has touched me to know that the forum has my back. I know one other member who was effected by this scam who successfully got reimbursed by the bank. Does anybody know how the others fared with their banks? Thanks again so much!!!

Sorry for the late update, was working the late shift! I called my bank this morning, they took all the info and said they would get back to me in a few days. They didn't come outright and say that it wasn't possible to retrieve the money transferred, but it sounded like the guy was pretty much reading from a script so don't hold out much hope! I will let everyone know hows it pans out when my bank gets back in touch On the plus side, thanks so much to all the members for the continued messages of support and especially BackyardBullion for offering his help.

I've contacted the Fraud Action team (for all the good that will do!) and will call my bank tomorrow (apparently the fraud team only works 8am-8pm) Will let you know of any updates. Am assuming its a foregone conclusion but guess i will know for sure once i've spoken to the bank Thanks again everyone, really appreciate it

Cheers, will do, there's an online Fraud Action form I can fill in so at least I wont have to waste any time on the phone. That's my short stacking career come to an abrupt end

I've sent him a message, I did locate a historic threat (unfortunately only after doing a search of his username after becoming suspicious). How on earth is this guy still allowed to post listings on this forum. He even had relatively recent good feedback! Ruined Christmas for me! More than I earn in a month at the co-op. Gutted!!
