An 1858-S $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle. I wanted this specific year, preferably ungraded and was able to find one in an acceptable condition at a reasonable price for this year. Also, a special thanks to @mr1030 for helping find any available out in his neck of the woods.

Got the last of these yesterday but for size comparison got a beast and sovereign beside them....how the Americans ever walked around with the half dimes is amazing...they are like smaller then a 70s half penny and half as thick.
But the four of them cost as much as a sovereign...and then some.

Got my coins back today. Well happy with the 2005 sovereign top grade. 

I like my silver old and my gold raw.

Libertads from eBay- these arrived with damaged capsules but the Libs look to have faired ok.  Thanks @Sovereign for the Scottsdale Terracotta- nice 5oz lump of Silver. 
 

A bit of an indulgence. I wanted a few of the 2oz S1 proofs as they are stunning coins, but didn't want to start on the slippery road to collecting the boxed set, as some of them are impossibly difficult to get and expensive. Sourced these from Aus for roughly the price of the single 2 ouncers, and still being mid-table rarities.

All my American buddies, Ebay has its two day 10% Ebay bucks, if your interested then now is the time to go buy that gold thatbapplies, I found you can get sovereigns for almost spot right now after that 10% is taken into account.

Picked up some rounds from Intaglio Mint. 
I really like the Modern Tribute collection.  2 oz high relief rounds of various american coins.  The detail, high relief and texturing is really nice.


 
 
Also more Cryptozoology rounds for my set and some antiqued Spartan Rounds (Molon Labe).  The werewolf round is really nice in person with high relief.
The antiquing is not the best. Probably because the coins have so much detail, maybe its hard to get in all the crevices.
