Saw this on the Atkinsons site and took a punt, 1996 half sov, (proof obviously). No Box or COA, bullion price. Could have been worse nick.
 

I couldn't wait for this one to arrive.  Pre-ordered from Atkinsons.  Extremely pleased to own it.

2005 bullion sov from HGM. I have been after one for a few months but kept just missing out, finally I was in the right place at the right time. 

Tidy business live at auction this weekend. A total of 6 full sovereigns - four Vics (average of £279 each for an 1871 shield, 1875 M, 1888 S Jubilee Head, 1900 old head), the bullion 2017 (always fancied one - but missed out until today) and finally - a 2017 proof Sov ?. Paid £680 for that proof - but its in good shape and frankly i don’t see it getting cheaper anytime soon.  Of course i should have bought it straight away from the Mint for was it £525? But hindsight is easy.   
Of the Vics - i needed a Jubilee Head for my type set, and the 1871 London Shield Back Die 7 is probably the pick of the bunch.  I have never graded a bullion sov in my life - but can you Sovereign guys estimate the potential NGC grade (AU58?). 
Other major win was a boxed proof 2017 silver Krugerrand - along with some other silver bullion (including some pre-47 UK and US ) and one of those weird Tristan Da Cunha proof silver coins all for £111.  Wanted that silver proof Krug after seeing many here getting them....but never fancied paying the crazy prices.  Reckon that was a real bargain, and it is a stunning piece. Finally  - if anyone can give me any info on the TDC £1 0.925 silver proof 100th anniversary of the House of Windsor .... i would appreciate it. I cannot find anything about it - but it is claimed to be 0.925 silver.

I think you're missing the point of the thread, which is that I have many many of this date and the ones that look like they have no BP actually do under macro!

Wanted to protect some shieldbacks from further erosion and a very nice result for the 1804 1/3 Guinea (only 17 ngc and pcgs in higher grades up to top graded ms64) and the 1/4oz Britannias. Got these today £271 each do like this sovereign one of them nice low cert no. will be good to khow the mintege no.s on this sovereign think it will be low ish big thanks to numi ages ago for the tip 
 

Received my 1911 Canada sovereign today, it is my 10th full sov so I’m chuffed! 
Im not to sure about grade, but I paid roughly the same amount of a Atkinson’s mixed sov. 
I already have a London mint 1911 so I will put that up for sale to get a different date as I want to try and get a sov for each year (1900-1932)
 

Today I had this sovereign arrive I'm pleased with the coin 1911 Canada mint Ottawa. I've been after this year for a while in a good condition Uncirulated I will be sending off for grading with a few more after the new year. Just pleased so i thought i will share.

Yes, @Roy that would be nice, probably more by luck than judgement! There won't be an Edward VIII involved though.

Today I managed to tick two off my Wants List.

1839 Sovereign PCGS AU58 and
1913 Canada Sovereign ICG MS63

Add those to the 1887 Sovereign Proof PCGS PR62UC last week and I'm skint.

I shall tell my good lady that I have bought her an investment for Christmas!

She thinks I have another woman and got me to take a lie detector test. When asked "Do you have any other women in your life?" I failed - I had to admit my passion for Victoria's.....

Well that's blown my budget for the next few months so will, like others, have to make it my last purchase until next year....
