I enquired with @SilverAngel if they could make me a personalised bar in memory of losing my dog a few weeks ago. They kindly obliged.
I was expecting a simple dog design, but instead I was asked for a picture of my dog. I soon received back a few designs to choose from (they all looked just like him! But I opted for this design as the angel wings and the fact you can still tell it's a chihuahua stood out to me). 
I've just received images of the final product (attached with permission) that will be arriving tomorrow. I originally asked for a 2oz bar, then decided I'd prefer 100g which was no problem. The price was also incredible - especially when you consider the time and skill involved. I just had to make this post and send some kudos their way.

Well, who would have ever thought "back in the day" that gold would achieve such prices? I am sure that if the Internet had existed in the past, people would leave the same reactions on forums. 
I used to have all sorts of things. Rolexes, gold, old Jennings slot machines, Jubboxes and lots of pokemon cards. I kept selling everything only to then profit from profits. If I had kept everything I wouldn't have to work now.
The moment the money system fails - and it does - alternatives are always desired. Look at the absurd prices of bitcoin. The whole climate transition is only a few years old in the total time of the entire planet and the centuries that it will hopefully exist. And already it requires a lot of silver. What will it do in the future? And then climate is only 1 application of this precious metal.
My great- great- great grandfather once saved gold coins. I'm glad he did. There are still a few in the family. So if I no longer get to experience the price increases, then maybe my grandchildren or whoever comes after. I am sure they will be happier with physical silver than with bills or nickel coins.
Sequels it is up to this generation whether they sell it or not. Investing minimally now to cash in hugely later - which will happen - by me or by descendants already makes it all very exciting to me.
 

I'd definitely be a seller at $50 per oz assuming that it would equate to at least £35 per oz.
I would then just spend the proceeds, it's not going to make my fortune but it would give me a decent amount to splurge on either a holiday or something fun.
If it did go well over $50 I wouldn't have any significant seller's remorse, I'd just be happy to have more than doubled my money.

I enjoy a well run action.  I was a bidder on the below auction which was for me well organised, and professional. Thanks @Darr3nG.
From me with a buyer perspective, the following makes for a good auction and reduces back chat as the auction is happening!
- Good Photos 
- Clear description including grading details if applicable, condition report if there are obvious impairments
- Description of coins that match the date on the photo…get the basics right
- Very clear description of the auction terms and conditions.  Increments, end time etc
- Postage terms and conditions included / not included with the auction
I am certainly not going to “tell” people how to run their auctions but the simpler the better for me.  I don’t want to partake in auctions that might result in a dispute.
It goes without saying that keeping it simple makes it easier for buyers, will result in less chance of dispute and minimise thread noise.

Finally back from work and able to check out my horse of hannover I got from @SiCole (top bloke to deal with) and my lion of england recieved in a trade deal for an oriental brittania and a bottle of 21 year old whisky with a guy at work.

2017 Ugly Duckling   Until a recent and timely heads-up by@James32, I had never seen a Perth Mint Gold Swan on TSF.   A rare bird indeed, this inaugural cygnine ozzer was limited to a total mintage of just 5,000.   At spot+2% it seemed too good an opportunity to pass up as well as being a splendidly handsome piece. Thanks to the highly recommended@HB1for this new entrant to my own personal "Maginificent 7".
