Just got back from my lcs with what caught my eye. Two 2018 krugerrand's, one 2017 Britannia's with Rooster privy, and one 2017 RP Canadian maple leaf! The maple has this privy on it I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is? Hope you all like them as much as I do!😊

My 2019 Brilliant Uncirculated Matt Finish sovereign arrived today.
The pictures of both coins on the Royal Mint’s web site are shown in a weird colour which almost defies description but which bears no relation to the colour of gold, hence the reason I was keen to do an actual comparison with the proof 2019 sovereign that I already had.
The most immediate thing one notices is the packaging.  The “matt finish” sovereign comes in a basic cardboard box whereas the proof sovereign was in one of the prestigious wooden boxes.  Also the coin capsule with the “matt finish” sovereign seems to be smaller!
I do think that “Brilliant Uncirculated” and “Matt Finish” are contradictions in terms!  Surely something is either “brilliant” or “matt”, so can it really be both? 
To me, the new sovereign does not look to be very “Matt”.  It is certainly has a different finish to both the proof and regular bullion sovereigns, but I am not sure I would call it “Matt”.

In March 2019’s Coin News there is an article “The Sovereigns of Queen Victoria from 1846 to 1849” (pp.40-41) in which Clive King reports (p.40):
“...a large number of the 4.5 million sovereigns struck for 1847 were actually well under the legal tender weight.  Many weighed as little as 7.92g and would certainly have been deemed illegal tender under the Coinage Act of 1816-1870.  It’s amazing to think that if 25 per cent of the sovereigns struck for this year were 0.06g too light, that it would have left around 70kg of gold in the cupboard.”
As this is not mentioned in Marsh, I thought it was worth highlighting.

You have to wonder, was it an accident, or did they planet?

Yes all true ive got both as well if you look at your pictures the capsule is a bit smaller. Also i would say it.s more of a saturn finish
