A teeny 1929 quarter eagle, a tad smaller then a half sovereign. Bought from ebay, took a chance on some dodgy photo's and pleasantly surprised at the condition for a near 90 year old coin.

1887 sovereigns - the £2 double and £5 quintuple. Got these at auction - and very happy with them both! A few rim nicks but otherwise pretty clean fields and designs. The detail on the Vic side is really quite something - so much easier to see on these bigger sovs. The weights check out exactly and they have that unique 1887 “yellow gold” look due to the silver content, so i am confident they are not fakes ?. Only way to be really sure i guess would be to send them into PCGS or NGC. I reckon they would maybe get AU 58. Other opinions on the potential grades? The indiividual photos are of the £5 ... where there are some surface marks / hairlines ? on the Vic side

2010 Mexico 1/2 oz Gold Libertad proof. Somewhat low mintage at 600.
Also, cool to get a coin representative of a historic Mexico landmark one has visited.

I got _extremely_ lucky and got one of these sets for _a lot_ less than what i should have paid. The first genuine deal I've ever had at an auction.
I had been eyeing this up for ages now.
United Nations 1995 Silver Proof 36 coin set (with all COA's - this alone is very rare).
There were only 1394 of these sets ever made, most of them got broken up from the sets, though some of the coins exist separate (in their own individual presentation cases).
Some really notable coins in here, the lowest mintage Irish coin (ever), Moroccan 200 dirhams, Argentine Peso, Norwegian 50 Kroner, Latvia 1 Lat, Uruguay $200, Oman 1 Rial, GB £2
The list goes on. Estimated Value is about 1000 quid, I guess. Maybe more.
Has anybody got one of these?
I placed a bid, thinking I'd just lose, but if you're not in, you can't win.
Imagine my delight when I got the email that i'd won it.
(This set is not my one in the picture, but the same deal.)

Queen's Beast box for 10oz Silver Coins
My wife got me the box as a gift and then helped me to customize it by machine cutting another layer of foam so that I could use it for both the 10 oz Silver and 1/4 oz gold coins. I will be collecting the full set of each. I think it came out great
