Received today a 2018 1/10th Kangaroo, nothing to exciting

There were 1,259,000 of these coins minted, many of them were melted down or sent overseas which means they are quite scarce. I think the Sydney mint were the only ones to strike these shield-backs. Looks like you may have a scarce coin there.

My first sheild back sovereign came to day, not being knowledgable  about them is it good or poor?

Today I bought a 2017 bullion sovereign from Sharps Pixley with free delivery.

This evening I won on eBay a plain fields BU 2016 Britannia, boxed & coa, delivered for just under £36. Is this a fair price? 
Also won on the October prize draw so I've made up for my lack of buying since my last payday

Received the 2017 Proof/Reverse Proof Libertad set a few days ago.  2 Silver Proof Lunar Dogs arrived today.  Ordered them from GoldSilver.be rather then pay the crazy prices for them here in the U.S.

When using money from gold sales as part of the deposit to buy property I had to prove buying and selling the coins, I assume to prove I did not receive them as a gift, and also to meet money laundering requirements - not sure what recipes prove in that department though to be honest. Keep your invoices when purchasing and stick them in a safe deposit box with your metals like paul says. 
There is another advantage if you stack only one or two types of coin. You can use invoices for the same type, say sovereigns, which will over the years have different values and this will allow you to play tax games - claim you are selling coins at a loss by using recent invoices if spot drops, or in the future if CGT free status is removed and you sell coins that were bought 10 years prior, use invoices from recent purchases. 'Mixed years' invoices are a good hedge against future tax changes.
