Managed to source the rather elusive 1888 Venezuela 100 Bolívares with the help of @Lr103
The mint bloom or toning is quite considerable but cannot hide the ample lustre remaining in this popular vintage

Almost 2500 years of coin minting evolution. The Cook Island's 1 OZ silver Pegasos together with , a Corinthian silver Drachm Pegasos from around 350BC with a portrait of Aphrodite. For sure, that would be my favorite goddess in ancient Greece. If i had the time to watch trees and clouds, i would think about what has been paid with this coin 2000 years ago.
I'm a fanboy of many CIT Smartminting coins. Crazy accurate strikings and unbelievable reliefs. And this one is a great example of their abilities.

Over 2000 years old and still has a cameo. The Greeks just created works of art for coins

Not unlike an expectant father again, I’ve anxiously waited for this Sixpence to arrive from the USA, it having been held to ransom by the courier, initially demanding 20% HMRC VAT/Duty.
Now it has finally landed, I don’t think I have ever been so thrilled to receive a coin.
An exceptional example of a Charles I (1625- 1649) Sixpence. Briot’s First Milled issue 1631-32 mm Flower & B. obv. His crowned bust left with falling lace collar and VI behind.  Rev. Square topped shield/ long cross dividing arms. 2.99g, 26mm,  Spink 2855
I feel fortunate to own this lovely Sixpence, I’m not sure I’ll find another 400 year old coin in such condition.

    Another lovely Sixpence.
Anne ‘Pre Union’ Vigo 1703 Sixpence, first bust left with VIGO** below, rev. Plain angles with four strings in harp S.3590 there is a scratch through hair and some hay marking* but nevertheless, it looks a nice example for the collection- practically EF?

    * hay marking- entirely normal black streaky flecks in the metal, sometimes called "haymarks," caused by the alloyed silver containing tin, which came in part from Midlands and Welsh mines.
** VIGO- hallmarked to designate it was made from silver captured from the Spanish at Vigo Bay (with which it was mixed, with silver from homeland mines as stated above)

Also, a 1951 George VI Festival of Britain Proof Sixpence.

Another step closer to the Sixpence Type Set I am putting together.  This time a Charles I 1643- 1644, mm Lion Spink: 2876. 2.89g.  Charles portrait depicted in a scalloped lace collar and Reverse with a Crowned oval shield.
The abbreviated Latin legends translate as on the obverse "Charles by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland"; and on the reverse "I reign under the auspice of Christ."
This is a nice VF/gVF Hammered example of a provincial issued York Mint Sixpence from the midst of the English Civil War. Charles I issued coins from many English & Welsh besieged towns & cities during the war, in order to pay his armies and ensure trade and commerce could continue.

It’s very unusual to find and acquire such a nice example.
1551 Edward VI Sixpence, mm Tun
GVF- with an exceptional portrait of
the young boy king.  This issue is very often plagued with creases and worn.
This is the inaugural Sixpence issue, and I’m pleased to add such a nice example into my collection.

    Daterun of:
    20 Francs / 8 Florin Hungary / Austria
    Minted every year from 1870-1891
Most mintages are about 300.000 per year.
Most of them were minted in Kremnitz, Skovakia (KB mintmark), and a few in Romania (GYF).
I am missing: 1873, 1879, 1886 and some variations. If anyone has one of them for sale or trade, please let me know.
