I have if you care to read back, now how silly do you feel? 😁

No, you've posted claims that you're shorting.  No screenshots of the trades themselves.

Because they're fictional?  Or because they're so far in the red?

I successfully bought 3 when they went live at 9. Whether they decide to impose some after the fact limit on that we shall see. I don't tend to trust much until things ship.

I got the same.  Although, I also managed to buy a Brexit Gold Proof 50p and was told today that my order was a glitch and it wasn't coming.  Fingers crossed that these weren't a glitch too.

    Totally missed this 😨

Why didn't the RM at least have a graphic on their homepage?

They did?  A big Queen graphic.

    Hi all,

I recently launched a little side project of mine for monitoring the prices of gold sovereigns by UK dealers:

    LINK REMOVED BY ADMIN

At the moment functionality and looks are very basic; it refresh automatically every 2 minutes and watches a few of the most reputable dealers that I know of.

I wanted to share it in case someone else finds it useful. It's completely free and donations are accepted to keep it running.

Any constructive feedback is welcome. Thanks!

Maybe not too helpful, but I think the really basic look is actually very effective.

It has everything you need, no fuss, no BS.

I'm sure you could run some Ads to help monetise it, too - or use referral links to earn some cash off it?

    I find it funny...

its hypocrisy at its finest. Instead why don’t you stick with American coinage whose country has displaced several countries, is openly oppressive if you are not white, will invade you for resources  and the send in infrastructure companies to clean up the mess leaving a further financial void.

Or chinese coins whose human rights record is atrocious to all including its own.

Or australian coinage who actively disposed its indigenous population.

Or british coins etc etc you get the point I’m trying to make.

Fitstly you don’t know when the coins were minted or sold, secondly they are base metal and thirdly everyone knows the statement you made is bullshit.

Well apparently I hit a nerve...

Justify it in whichever way you like mate, it’s not my problem. You’re the one admitting to making deals on ‘illegally sourced’ (your words) coins from a country in which, however hard you try to deflect, proceeds of exports go towards their military programmes.

    It’s just silly, that’s all.

  5. If you are buying Gold from North Korea, you are breaking international sanctions.  That's not like getting into a VAT-argument with HMRC; it's serious prison time in the States.

This is no different to buying the ISIS coinage that got talked about last year.  If you're buying North Korean currency, you're financing a hostile weapons programme and propping up a regime.

It's not quirky to be offering NK coins - it's a really, really poor decision which could have serious unintended consequences.

And -- after quite a nervous wait for the international post to deliver, the PCGS MS65 1893 Morgan dollar finally showed up. I am certainly impressed with the Eagle side - as it's very nice in the fields and on the breast feathers, so worthy of a high grade. The obverse is pretty good as well (better than the rest of my ungraded Morgans) but I have to say there are still a few nicks on it. If it wasn't in a slab saying MS65 I probably have not guessed that grade ...so I am learning! Everything checks out on the PCGS website - so its for real...so I am the proud owner of a pretty rare Morgan (this is the third rarest year for the Philadelphia mint, excluding 1895) in a high grade.  Just don't ask me to send it into NGC though...as I worry they would not grade it a 65!

I hope this is a case of buying the coin, and not the slab.  That isn't Mint State anything, and I would be fairly urgently calling PCGS for additional verification that you haven't just bought a fake slab.

That coin would struggle to reach XF40 on the obverse.

Seriously, I don't mean to be dismissive, but you need to call PCGS and make urgent enquiries.

Below is a true MS65 Obverse... the difference is vast.  Compare with the XF40...

I'm not sure I get this invader stuff. What is an invader "kit"? Seems bonkers to pay so much for a few pieces of plastic in the shape of a Spacer Invaders logo? Seems like little talent to produce so I am sure there is something going on that is over my head!

I too have this question.  From what I've read, it seems to come in an unpacked form and the purchaser can choose to assemble it as an art-piece or keep it in the box for resale.   (I think).

why is it we have spiked nearly £20 higher ? in 24 hours

Bitcoin has had a near $500 variance spike in a day

Is the gold rocket setting off for the moon ??

Because the Election polls have Labour within 5 points of the Tories; which would give a reduced majority of just 2 seats.  However, these polls were conducted before Corbyn decided to blame Britain for terrorism, and take no account of silent-Tory voters.

Then there's Trump's disastrous visit to NATO.

I wouldn't be surprised to see £1000/oz by the end of the day.

@Clens92 Some more pictures of the date and fine details on the reverse for your to confirm your suspicions? Apologies to all for clogging up the thread with pictures of forgeries. PCGS picture of a real slabbed one below for comparison and to make up for it. :P

Now it looks less problematic...  the '7' still irks me, especially the far left downward-pointing bar.  But I'm not an expert and it could easily be a slight die-variation.  Either way, these copies are nearly always 21/22ct gold so you won't lose on it :)

If you see here, the downward-facing bar of the 7 seems thinner, whilst the spacing of the B.P. is also slightly different.  God knows... it's all gold to me :P

Does anyone think the current gold price is sustainable? I've wanted to buy for a few months now but I'm wary of buying so close to the ceiling. If Len Pen does not win in France, presumably the price will come down?

This isn't to do with Europe, this is due to Korea.

Third time it's making a serious attempt at $1265 (=£1017)... let's see how this one goes.

Well above it now :o  I'm not aware of any significant economic announcements today, but North Korea have just threatened another nuclear strike, which might explain the sudden hike.

Hope not I've 8 on order

You won't get more than three from them, unfortunately.

Pic from another buyer.  It also appears as if Westminster are acting as a middleman and do not have any physical stock themselves, from the wording of the email... "we have therefore ordered".
