    Thankyou for your response @LawrenceChard. I think most will agree that you went to great lengths to answer my question and explain the reasons behind decisions made by many people, way before I decide whether or not to buy a particular coin. I had no idea that you would be looking abroad to buy as cheap as possible, so that you can pass on savings to your customers, nor that the RM may focus on sending coins to the US or Germany as their markets are much larger, by- passing the British dealers.
    I understand now that I just have to decide whether or not to buy into the premium prices involved with the Beasts, over the cheaper stuff. They are separate markets essentially, but at least now I can start to appreciate why some dealers have stock of certain coins, and not others, at any particular time.
    Thanks again to @LawrenceChard and @BleyerBullion for your responses, I look forward to receiving my Ag Lions next week.👍

    I see I am a bit late to the party here as I've been tied up in meetings all morning. I really do not understand why you felt the need to air something that I thought we had already addressed to your complete satisfaction.
    Since this is in the public domain I am respecting your privacy, but here are the facts to put the record straight. I am very proud of my wonderful team who bend over backwards to help people all they can, it is a shame when this is not appreciated.
    You have purchased several times from us and due to the amount of money spent overall, we requested standard compliance information. The fact that we have these procedures, keeps our bank and our merchant terminal provider happy. We do not pass this data onto anyone and this was clearly explained to you in a long email from me personally. Bullion dealers are routinely targeted by fraudsters using innocent people's money to buy bullion that can be easily turned into cash, our request to you was strictly standard practice - nothing more than that.
    This was your tenth order over a period of almost 7 years so yes, since you seemed so upset about being asked for ID and your orders are not of enormous value, I felt it reasonably safe to make a small exception in this case. You ordered 2021 coins and 2022 coins. Our database was out, so there were no 2021 coins available but I did have 2022 coins coming in. 
    In addition to waiving the ID request, I offered you a discount of £43.46 or a refund for the 2021 coins.
    You were not happy with this offer and requested a refund. My sales team processed the refund immediately and advised that it may not show up immediately on your account.
    I am interested to know what else we could possibly have done to please you?
    I hope that whatever pain you are in will pass soon.

    That seems clear enough and straightforward to me.
    It looks like you have been, or tried to be more than fair.
    Sure, as you said, there was an error on your stock system / database. Everybody makes mistakes. Most reasonable people would have responded positively to your attempted solutions, which appear not to have placed your customer at any financial disadvantage. 
    There was a slight delay, but it seems this was because your customer did not look at his emails, and then has refused to provide his ID, which you are legally obliged to get if his transactions have reached the trigger threshold. If this is the case, to protect you and your company, I wonder if you need to file report with HMRC? Failure to do so may land you with a penalty.
    Of course, HMRC may consider his refusal to provide it as suspicious, so it would be in your customers best interest to provide it.
    I feel sure that at some stage, he will have agreed to your T&Cs which would have included the requirement for ID, so would or should have been aware.
    I am sure you will be aware of the above, but others may not be, and it is probably better coming from me as a neutral observer with a degree of knowledge.

    1. The attached screenshot shows both transactions. Money does not get credited at the same time that we credit it back to the card, as we clearly explained to you. It is batched that evening, payments and refunds are then processed overnight. I do not know if Barclays could have seen it or not at that time.
    2.  and 3. We identified an issue and offered a remedy that would have saved you money. You chose to decline our fair offer, we were surprised as it seemed like a crazy thing to do just to make a point.
    For the sake of anyone looking at this, the time delay between you placing the order and the time of the rebate are due to the time that passed from when we requested your ID etc. The refund was made immediately upon request.
    I am pleased that on platforms like this we are still all free to voice our views. We have both been able to put our sides to this story and prospective customers have learned how we handle a dispute.
    This public discourse was totally unnecessary, since we had already addressed your complaint. I see no point in drawing this out any further and wish you happier transactions in the future.

    Thank you all for the lovely things you have said about our team at Bleyer and kind words of support, even from Lawrence at Chards. 
    Things are very difficult at the moment for everyone. People have been set against one another and bent a bit out of shape - whether about Brexit, Covid, Ukraine or something else.
    We recognise this and try to combat it by showing compassion, rather than getting angry as that doesn't help anyone.
    I think it helps to think of us as all being on the same team.
    I hope you all have a wonderful day, I have a bit of Devon sunshine here to put a smile on my face as well as knowing that many of you have our backs.

    Really? What is it that offends you, this guy came on and tried to blight the reputation of a reputable dealer and possibly new investers may be put off buying from them which can harm their business and without any merit as they didn't do anything wrong in my eyes anyway
    When I purchase or look to purchase from Bleyer I ALWAYS look at the stock levels on what I am wanting to purchase.
    Posts like this need to be kept alive so new members and new investers can be assured that they wont be ripped off by dealers and if keeping this thread going helps Bleyer to keep their reputation it can only be a good thing.
    The OP came on here, became a member and never upgraded so it cost him nowt and he proceeded to post a slur against Bleyer without them knowing what was up and then he promptly buggered orf....
    As they say. small pebbles can cause large ripples..
    In this case i think the members are fully 100% correct in defending Bleyer in this matter.
    He has as much chance to respond and defend what he is saying but where is the response?
    Elvis (garyg) has left the building and if he has decided not to become a fully fledged member of the forum then this great forum has not lost one iota of influence.
    This is just my opinion by the way and no animals (greyhounds) were harmed in the writing of this comment 
    How many or these comments can you fit in a tube?
