If that is correct and NO production will start until then, it is a disgrace that the MInt has issued these and taken money a month before. Appalling.

Everyone but me will cancel, a ton will be melted down, leaving a very small mintage. Then, in 6 months time, Charles will suffer a fatal heart attack, after watching the newest season of the Crown. Pandemonium ensues, collectors everywhere flock to fleabay to try and secure Charles only sovereign. I wake up to 50 PMs on TSF, offering me thousands for my half sov 😎

Imagine the cool imprint you could leave in someone's forehead if you punched them with the ring on

Arrival from @arphethean.  Very unusual and intricate design.  Love the Tokelau coins.
Of course, the Golden Ratio has been used in photography, and art in general, for a long time as a composition guide.
I took the usual 'face on' shots, but decided to do an edge shot to show-off the details.  Needed a stack of 17 images to get the whole thing, varying the focus by a couple of mm or so each time.

Am I the only one who keeps receipts?
Top pic from launch day, bottom pic from today. Also notice the difference in shipping time.

It's been a curious release. I bought early and was happy to get the one item I ordered. To think I was rushing so much to check out I almost forgot my password. But now, with stock still available days later it means I will not have to look back on this release with any regrets. I've had plenty of time to second guess whether I should purchase more but also to reflect on what I have bought and relax, without overstretching my finances in the moment and without the dreaded FOMO.
I will say that regardless of how these coins perform on the secondary market I just think it's a great looking coin and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I feel lucky to be in a position to buy gold with everything that's going on for so many at the moment. I think in the end, for me, that's enough.

The mob is fickle. It's hard to tell what will be a 'hit' coin. As many have said, the 1989 Sov (now a classic) struggled to sell for years before building traction. Others like the 2014 Proof Britannia were instant successes.
I've never sold a coin in my life, so I'm happy to just buy coins I like, and if 20 years down the line they're worth a fortune, good for me, but I'm not too bothered either way. I'll always get melt for them anyway. 😉

I wouldn’t listen to the advice of any stranger on a forum. What do we know 🤣
My thinking was I buy the 3 coin set and sell the half and quarter. How cheap does that make your one sov? Very I would think.

People are getting poorer soon all they will be able to afford is a collection of quarter sovs.

Here's my 10 pennies worth, already I've seen guys a little shaky because the coins they have bought have not sold out.......do not be premature,   look at every single first monarch coin set.  1831, 1839, 1902, 1911, 1937, 1953...........Us moral plebs have been given a chance to buy the first KCIII gold proof sovereigns and we are concerned about them not selling out instantly, guys this is an opportunity of a lifetime.   How wealthy would you have to have been to buy a 1937 gold proof sovereign set on launch day?    You would have had to be comfortably middle class and well off, what about 1911? Or back in 1839 with a gold Una and the lion in the set you would have to have been in the elite classes.
Some people now have a totally instant lifestyle and when things don't move at light speed they don't appear to have the attention span or the ability to step back and look at the bigger picture.  Make your own decisions, but how many times have you said in your life I wish I'd bought X when they came out or I wish you had bought more of them?

Thank you for such a detailed and considered response. I think you hit the nail on the head here: "in terms of desirability and importance yes, 100% its going to be desirable and important forever more. Its a superb design and the first sovereign of a new monarch and we shouldn’t let the madness of release days distract us from the bigger picture." 👏
I'll be thrilled when mine arrives (all being well with the infamous Llantrisant QC!) and can't wait to see it up close... even if I have to squint and imagine that JC included a daff with the other floral symbols! 😝

Where's our forum favourite green eye monster Barry on release day for his comments
Hope he hasn't bought from an authorized dealer post launch
