As per my experience before, Perth Mint quality is in general better than Royal Mint, especially the coin is most likely problem free.  Also, some of their designs are very good, like Swan, Eagle, Kookaburra etc.

I was looking for a Wyon's rejected China medal, then I realised I couldn't afford it.

Yes I’ve never bought medals before and know pretty much nothing. These should have recipient names. And the more interesting the story/ regiment the more expensive. It’s this whole mess I was hoping to research more to find out the details.

It's illegal to shill bid, but there are ways around it, like friends or trusted dealers.
But they can't make it too wild or people will find out. So HA results are somewhat reliable.
EBay is a whole new story. Some people honestly want stuff that badly...

Yes, and also some are without postage service, which need buyers to arrange pickup on their own.

I bought one of these coins directly from the RM on issue.
Personally I don't think it will be a particularly good investment, compared to say the Platinum Jubilee BU 5 sovereign coin for example.  But it's an impressive coin with a special reverse and is always likely to hold some appeal to collectors.
I'm pleased to own the coin, but wouldn't buy it purely for investment.  The same money buys about seven bullion sovereigns, which are likely to be better investments, but not as visually impressive.  The BU quintuple would also be harder to sell than the bullion sovereigns, and of course you are selling the entire investment/coin in one go, rather then potentially selling the bullion sovereigns in stages.
    Gratuitous photos:

They can create as many random and nonsense sets as they want, by combining any modern sovereign at will. Following this “Logic” i could myself create dozens of unique “sets”

Anyway as I said previously i'm not looking to sell, I am going to send them to NGC to be graded. I think they are ones for the future.

Lovely Gothic florin, 2 different varieties.  I think your estimate is more or less around the market price at auctions at this moment, but please do not forget the additional auction premium at approximate 20% on top of the hammered price.

Have a look on auction sites, some go for quite a bit, others you can fall lucky. Really nice coins in hand.

This one must be counterfeit, most obviously the hair of Edward and britannia.

    1905 was mid reign.
Firsts (1902) and lasts (1910) survive in a range of conditions, many in top grades.
1905 happened to coincide with lower mintage numbers and being several years into the reign.
The mintage numbers were probably not known immediately to collectors of the day, people who weren't avid collectors would be much less likely to put 1905s aside. A half crown was a lot of money back in 1905.
Also unlike modern coinage where BU and proof sets are available every year, they were only issued in 1902. Which makes older coinage so much more interesting than modern coinages. Any coins that do survive in top grade are the fortunate few.

Agree with Stuntman view, 1902 is not a tough year for collection.  Proof sets were issued in that year, so that many good examples are being kept after decades, therefore it's less difficult to find a decent 1902 coins comparing with other Edward's years.  Similar case is also applied for 1887, 1893, 1911, 1927, 1937 etc.

A 1905 one has a smaller mintage than most, however, still a mintage of over 1,000,000. The real key date surely is 1902 at 15,000? Like other coins it all depends on condition.

1902 currency florins are pretty common, and many of them were saved because they were the first year of the new monarch.  So plenty of good examples survived and it's the cheapest year to buy.

So there you go!  mintage numbers don’t always mean much, at the end of the day what is someone willing to pay for a coin. It appears that if someone wants to fake a coin, then it must be worth while, however, a lot of various types seem to make appearances at car boots!

Regarding the 1902 florin - according to my copy of Collector's Coins 2020, the mintage of the currency coin was 2,489,575 and there were 15,123 matt proof coins minted as well.  The 1905 florin had a mintage of 1,187,596.
Generally speaking, the first year's coins for a new monarch/new design are the cheapest to buy subsequently, as more of them will have been removed from circulation and put aside.  See 1887, 1902 and 1937 in particular.
