A fairly familiar sight... I haven't seen many of these Memorial H&B ones around yet. Got it just before the big price surge last week!

Went to an antiques fair today and picked up another pocket coin. 1844

Earlier this month before the sudden surge in price I managed to get a few more coins. 
 
First up was a few more memorial sovereigns. Lovely.

I was wondering the same thing… whether they would use Roettier’s portrait for the Charles II coin or something else. I think the former would be just way to similar to the Petition Crown. And I agree with you that one of the hammered coins would be more apt. I like this crowned portrait.

They may show Charles III hammered.

I’m quite alright ,as dikefalos said you should see me on a bad day 😂,..And it could well be the glare from the coin Bogart as it’s a 99999 pure ,..need sunglasses to look directly at it 😎

I think it's possible, as I've said before to me it's the unique presentation that I think will make this memorable. I haven't bought yet but the longer that 5oz silver us available the harder it is to resist.

To shorten the waiting time for Charles I, you can already start looking at the next Monarchs issue. After the Petition Crown, I can't imagine that they will restrike another milled coin. Besides, it would also fit to the first two Stuart issues, James I and Charles I, to take one of the hammered coins. That would be the last hammered style issue, wouldn't it?
