We are getting boiled on every level now, nobody seems to be bothered, noone seems to care.

I feel like I'm a visitor now in the reality I used to enjoy in my 20s :(

Keep me away from the ' general public' and newspapers, tv, radio, bookface, social media

switch off and drop out

think for yourself. Ignore all you're told. Question

it's a mad mad mad world

I agree Paul wholeheartedly.

When you realise everything you thought was true is a lie, at least this is the conclusion I came to sometime ago.

Although the past four years have been a huge eye opener even for me.

Central bank digital currencies (programmable) and we are screwed.

I never carry cash on me, due to the security risk and the fact I don't need it and I have done this for the last 10 years.

If you can beat them join them.

I’m the opposite. I always carry cash on me. Then again I don’t live in London and my chances of encountering some knife wielding robber who’s twice the size of me is significantly reduced where I live.

Cash is very handy in case of emergencies, such as when the payments systems crash in the supermarkets or wherever. All those shoppers who rely 100% on their cards having to abandon their purchases and make a mad dash to join the long queue at the nearest cash machine, hoping that it will still payout when it’s their turn.

Cards are a necessary convenience, but think of the above scenario and try to have some cash handy for the unexpected. Just my penny’s worth.

My salary is lower than my direct debits so no cash is available.

Same here, but the security issue escapes me. Surely a thief could just take the collection of plastic cards that most people have and make a number of contactless purchases very easily?
I try to carry £50-£250 on me. At the moment it's quite a bit more than that as I recently sold a couple of car parts (cash). Surely that's still way less than the value of the latest Applsung Mongmaster S99i that these non-cash pillocks swank around with?

Progress is a myth. Democracy is a sham. Dumbing down is real.

USE CASH WHEREVER POSSIBLE.

This worries me 😯

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.

Sorry to hear that. I hope your direct debits come down in the near future.

There are only pictures, no products, you take the picture go to the cashier and wait till they bring you the product from behind.

I was looking at your original photo and trying to make out if the products on display were security products. Failed to see that they were only pictures. Thanks for the explanation.

I’m clearly too content in my own protective bubble. I’ll stick to the cities in the north.

I can't see how proving you're in a rough area means you're more likely to get cash stolen than your cards and phone.
