Still, as they say "a fool and his money is soon parted"...this explains why I still have the Terminator proof coin!

Ooh, can I interest you in a Jar Jar Binks colourised proof at all? An absolutely unique coin as I believe most of these were thrown in the bin in disgust after the film was released. If you can pay upfront it'll be delivered sealed as from the Mint (sealing guns don't grow on trees you know!). It may be milk-spotted it may be not. Sold to you sight totally* unseen!

* Well, not much anyway :P

Sounds perfect mate. If you want I can swap for my "1oz Silver Proof Krugerrand, mint condition, do not open as may reduce value" that I've just posted on ebay. I've attached a pic. Let me know.

Theres a new business, specialising in coin clairvoyance. All packing, seals becomes clear to the mystic gaze. Accurate grading received by numismatics in the spirit realm. 50 pound a time. No lead boxes.

Yep, need to listen to a lot of Nirvana to solve that. I might keep one unopened like Schrödinger s cat and have both a 70 and a pile of tat. Sending tomorrow at, 95 more likely to get new ones. Still I'm sure their real price will become know in a month or so when the markets dry.

Well if it's any help they sorted out my replacements and I sent one off for grading, how happy I'll be depends on when that comes back. lol

The replacements from CP have arrived, brilliantly packaged. They open all mint bags beforehand to insert their own COAs so I wouldn't think there is any legal problem whatsoever with describing new coins as new coins on ebay.

I've also received some more from their sister company Westminster. Despite my request for extra packaging, they sent them mint sealed and all are potential rattlers.

It's particularly disappointing as one has what I would guess is a very desirable number? 4999

You know, all these returns mount up. It's more than likely to affect the real terms mintage. Up the rarity level. I'd be interested in seeing the mints policy on re issue etc. But then again I'm starting to call these Freddy Krugerrands.

Two more out of circulation, the saga continues!

Mint sealed ones this time - 5003 and - I forget the other one, but it's so obvious, around 3mm round milk spots on both, with some small scratches on each due to the capsule being loose. I did tell Westminster and ask them to open them and package them properly but they didn't listen. Oh well they would have gone back anyway due to the spotting.

Luckily 4 9's fine :P

Oh well, it's 'only' two out of six arrived milk spotted so far. Mind you, I haven't checked two replacements yet

A lot of those 'must be sealed' ebay buyers are in for a shock I reckon...

Yep. As word spreads I don't think you'll be able to sell a sealed one.

Luckily I have a 30 days return on this heat gun to see which way the wind blows

<edit> very small (1mm or less) milk spot on 1 out of 3 replacements, you couldn't make this up if you tried!

I sent three back out of four and the one I kept has a very small imperfection. Not sure if it is worth grading, however, I don't see any of these graded on ebay, does anyone know how much a 69 or 70 would fetch?
