Varieties of Queens Beasts

Recommended Posts

How many different sizes / metals / types of Queens Beasts are there?  I don't mean designs - there are 10 of them plus the Completer.  I mean 1oz silver, 2oz silver, etc.

This is my current list, but every week or two it seems I find a new one.

  • Silver 1/4oz reverse proof
  • Silver 1/4oz proof
  • Silver 1oz  proof
  • Silver 2oz  proof
  • Silver 2oz bullion
  • Silver 5oz proof
  • Silver 10oz proof (5oz piedfort)
  • Silver 10oz bullion
  • Silver 1kg proof
  • Silver 1kg bullion (completer)
  • Silver 2kg proof (completer)
  • Gold 1/4oz proof
  • Gold 1/4oz reverse proof
  • Gold 1/4oz bullion
  • Gold 1oz bullion
  • Gold 1oz proof
  • Gold 5oz proof
  • Gold 1kg proof
  • Gold 2kg proof (completer)
  • Gold 5kg proof (completer)
  • Gold 10kg proof (completer)
  • Platinum 1/4oz bullion
  • Platinum 1oz bullion

What am I missing?

I apologise if there is some online reference with this list, but I've looked and can't find it.

was it not @BackyardBullion who has a very extensive collection of these?

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Thanks to everyone.  I've edited the list.

I am not sure where I read about the 1/4oz platinums, but I can't find it now.

I don't think they did make 1/4 oz platinums - certainly I've never seen them in bullion.  @Pete might know definitively?

Edit: @Charliemouse I think you still need to add the 1kg silver bullion completer to your list, as @paulmerton has pointed out above.

My favourites are the 1 oz gold bullion and the 10 oz silver bullion (I only have this one in the completer, but I imagine that a full 10 oz silver bullion set would be utterly spectacular as a display of 11 coins).

@Charliemouse - were the 1/4 reverse proof coins actually in silver, rather than gold as per your list?  I don't have any reverse proofs, but I thought they were only in silver.

I own 1/4 reverse proof silvers, which somehow I missed from my list.  I don't know whether 1/4 (not reverse) proofs exist; suspect not.

And I own both 1/4 proof and reverse proof gold.

^^^ Awesome.  You have some great items there.

I have done a quick count-up of what I own in this series, I only have bullion:

10 x 1/4 oz gold bullion plus 1 spare Greyhound

11 x 1 oz gold bullion plus 3 spares - Dragon, Bull, Greyhound

1 x 10 oz silver bullion completer

1 x 1 kg silver bullion completer

4 x 1 oz platinum bullion - Lion, Dragon, Unicorn, Completer

so that makes 30 coins and quite a chunk of my total stack/collection by value!

My favourite designs are the Lion, the Dragon and the Completer.

Nowhere near what @BackyardBullion has in that video though!

If you were ever interested in selling that spare dragon, I would be interested!

Yes, they are favourites, along with the Falcon and Griffin - the feathers are gorgeous.

I've just scared myself with the maths.  I have 56 different coins, and duplicates of a lot of them too.

Ouch!
