Worth grading gold 50p with Mark on?

Likely a daft question but are you sure its a scratch.  I have had coins with similar looking marks and when I have carefully opened the case and used a small bulb air pump have found it was an eyelash or piece of thread on the coin

These are a nice 50p  with grading there is alway a chance you don't get the result you want, even if the coin looks 100% perfect.  It might be a bit of fluff or some residue that's simple enough to remove.  I've conserved a lot worse  If you need it grading I do offer this service.

What does your grading involve and how much is it?

Looking closely at your photo, there appear to be various similar marks and therefore I think there's a good chance that they are foreign objects on the face of the coin as opposed to damage to the coin itself.

It's a nice coin and I think other people like the design so I would imagine it's quite saleable.  (Modern proofs and whether grading this one would be worthwhile is not my area of expertise, mind you.)

If it was my coin and I was looking to keep it for the medium to long term, I'd leave it in its original packaging.  But if I was looking to sell, I'd do my research about what a PF70 and a PF69 currently sell for in relation to the ungraded coin in the original packaging.
