Help with pricing the silver forum collection of bars

Hi all,

I recently left the armed forces, and leaving and starting my new career was meant to be a smooth transition. It hasn't been due to the start date on my new job being pushed back until August - September time. As a result, I'm liquidating as much as I can to free up some cash. It's why I started in the first place. Gutted to see it all go, but needs must.

I have a full collection of the silver forum bars made by Mr B himself, the 1oz and 100g bars going back go 2017. Could anyone help with pricing this lot? I don't really want to part with these, I worked really hard to get them all together. The 100g 2017 bar in particular took a bit of time, but had a bit of help in the end and a stroke of luck. Ideally, I would sell as a complete set (the logo bars aren't as big a deal, but the forum ones are) and only split if I'm up the proverbial creek.

The 2017 bar had no certificate or pouch when I bought it, and three of the 1oz bars came as a oner so two don't have a pouch either.

Maybe pawn them or something if you'd regret parting with them?

Hi mate, I've already sold a lot of items that I didn't want to get rid of 😂 I don't think pawns shops would really do a decent price?

Hi, I am always sorry to see passionate collectors selling their much loved stuffs. But this is life and Karma.

Today the 1oz bars sold quick at £27/bar and 100g bars sold at £86/bar. Previously, the same bars priced at £30/oz and £90/100g didn't sold.

It was a fair price for a quick sale.

I know, your buying price was higher, but is what it is, we can not have any control on the market.

Doing a quick math at the same prices, the total value will be £27*9+£86*5= ££673.

I would try to sell them as a collection, having in mind the years run, at £700 plus post. If there are not buyers, you can decrease gradually, but not lower than £673.

I love your collection, if I would have money this month I would made an offer.

Good luck with your sale!

You have in me a potential very serious customer, but next month.

Hi there again,

At a closer look, that 100 gr. bars seem they are all number 084. If that is the case, I offer you 473£ for the five + postage. I would like to have a better offer but today that 100 gr. bars were sold at 86£ each by two different members. I am putting 10% on top of that.

I would like to know the numbers on the 1 oz bars before making an offer.

Precious metals are an insurance, you draw on them when you need to.

It's a shame you hadn't put that money into gold.

Good luck with your future career! 👍

Great and very fair offer!🤗

I think the TSF 1oz bars are number 111, a very nice one.

Good luck!
