Quarter Sovereign availability?

I wanted one myself for the sake of having the year, the cheapest one I remember seeing was from Bullion By Post, and I didn't see many to begin with.

From what I've seen there is very little market for these, nobody really discusses them and they hardly come up in the trading section, I would suspect because an invested gold buyer would most likely buy at least full sovereign, whereas folks on a budget tend to be more likely to gravitate towards silver, which gives the impression to buy more as, for the price of a gold coin which is smaller than a penny, you get 4 ounces of silver.

Yes indeed. There are far more collectors of sovereigns, than there are for the multiple and fractional sizes. They also hit a "sweet spot" for precious metal investment purposes.

Silver is OK, but premiums are higher, then there is the added 20% VAT.

You are preaching to the quire, you might remember that in my very first thread in here I stated how it didn't make sense for me to purchase silver for value, however, there is also a case for volume, especially in new stackers, and is all psychological.

Buying a single quarter sovereign you receive a coin that is literally smaller than a penny, doesn't feel like you're holding anything, the eyes want their share, and by buying the same amount in silver you are holding 4 big coins and it feel like a lot more.

We're men, we like to hold a handful 🤣

When we get them in, our staff usually grown when they see it.

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

Adds credence to my comment on the South African thread that there are unfortutely plenty of people more than  willing to profit at the expense of others. Imagine if all that malign effort was channelled I to doing something decent instead?

It's hard to believe I typed grown instead of groan.

There seems to be something going on between my brain and my fingers!

Some of our staff have already grown enough. We are thinking of banning cake.
