2022 UK Chinese Lunar Year of the Tiger

Recommended Posts

While we are waiting to see and hear about next year's Chinese Lunar Year of the Tiger from the Royal Mint, we thought we would close our eyes, use our imaginations, and come up with our own suggestions.

Here goes:

Tigger

As Doug says "I doubt they'll use Disney version but it is instantly recognisable"

For something more conventional:

It's Great in gold says Tony!

and in silver:

Would even look quite good with milk spots!

P.S. Anyone know what the Chinese lettering means?

It means "today sweat sour kitty soup with peppers"

who's providing the sweat? 😂

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

I'll be buying the Perth Mint version. After the entertainment I have had with the Royal Mint with a very small order recently (still waiting for 2 coins and they are bog standard bullion coins after a month) - compared to buying from a dealer in Melbourne (the one in Australia - same week Fedex) - I have really, really really given up with the Mint this time (mind I said that last itme on here and was drawn back...).

Not really on topic but wanted to rant.

This design is a beauty. It portrays the tiger with power and strength. I would assume the BU gold version will have the same design. I want one !

Yes the gold proof and BU are the same, the silver coins have a different design. (Shown as above)

The golden designs of the lunar 3 series are cleaner and better in my opinion.
