Key dates from 1920 to 1946 will depend a little bit by denomination.

As a general rule for shillings, florins and halfcrowns - 1924, 1925 and 1926 are scarce or rare, especially 1925 for florins and halfcrowns

1932 is scarce/rare for florins

1930 is scarce/rare for halfcrowns

1923 is scarce for sixpences, I think that's the only date to look out for on those coins

1928, 1930, 1942, 1943 and particularly 1944 are the dates to look out for on silver threepences

If you find a 1945 silver threepence, you will be very rich indeed!

I have taken out all the coins I believe are of interest and I also intend to hold on to pre 1920 coins plus crowns

Not sure if anybody looks in here very much but thought I'd share my WW2 date run of coins now that I've completed the British part of the set! (In doing so I am pretending that the silver 3d coins were never made as they're fiddly and annoying...)

A few international coins have made their way onto the second page, also dated 39-45, and this is what I'll be focusing on next...hoping to get some Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, and others from wherever else I like the look of too!

Nice collection 👍 I had all mine in folders as well but just striped them out and put into tubes fo easier storage for me. On the 3d they was minted in the 40's but without checking and off the top of my head '44 was the last year to go into circulation.

Not many of them minted though and command a high premium in good grade, think I paid round £8 for mine but seen them as high as £30. Also I believe there is one known 1945 in existence.

Nice set! Shame you don't have the 1945 I'm sure it's worth a lot more than 3d now :D

Same coin folder as me too!
