2020 Alderney Three Graces Silver Proof 2oz

Message added by ChrisSilver,

For transparency the member who started this topic has a commercial relationship with the company he mentions. The topic author was asked to be transparent about his relationship to the mentioned dealer in his forum signature, but did not do so. We subsequently launched business accounts on the forum.

We believe that companies who wish to advertise on TSF should do so honourably by taking out advertising and supporting TSF. TSF sells advertising for extremely competitive prices and even offers dealers to have their own subform section. We are also willing to negotiate good deals for businesses providing they are able to offer good deals for members too.

This is one of the reasons why we introduced Business Accounts here, to add transparency for members so that they can clearly see which members are businesses and also to stop business members from unfairly adverting their business or products without supporting TSF.

do you think the price of £ 9000, is it a fair price for the 5 pound 2020 alderney the three graces gold coin?

It’s a little high. Never know prices may rise even further.

Just a small point but I noticed that they have sent out the coin to me with Britannia Coin Company on the outside of the package. I sent them an email saying it might not be so wise to put their company name on the outside of the package. All good but just a bit of friendly advice to them.

Other sellers aren’t getting high bids. I wonder how Britannia company broke the £1000 line.

A ok. Never saw that. Saying that ,I think they are going to release the next batches slowly. Not all at once.

Releasing 100 2oz and then 25 5oz with complete control over the grading is a stroke of marketing genius. They have completely nailed it from a selling perspective. The remaining 2ozs have a floor of £1000 for the foreseeable future and £4000 for the 5ozs, so a guaranteed double your money for those who got in early if selling short term.

Even with the RM still to come, there will be tens of thousands of folk, if not more, who wont get one of any kind, in any material which bodes well.

Initially, I would expect the price of the Alderney ones to stagnate or drop somewhat as a result of the inevitable sales of RM ones that will find their way onto the secondary market. Once that fuss has died down and everyone moves on, then we will see how real prices go.

Yes, yes you did. People in the “owning millions of scabloonies” range buy these things like you or I but a bar of chocolate. Massive asset inflation to get the hell out of paper. Us minnions just hang on to their coattails.
Check out the art world and high end not property assets....going bonkers !

did i read that right at 4 grand for 5 ounce of silver?

It’s happened recently before. PF70 James Bond 5oz with double the mintage (just over 400 I think) were going for £1,500 - £2,000. This coin is pretty too 😍
