The Buckingham Collection Free Half Sovs

Hi all members of the forum,

I am a representative of the organisation The Buckingham Collection Limited, firstly we would like to express our sincere apologies to those that had to wait 30days for delivery for their coins. I'd like to offer an explanation to why this happened and some things we have implemented for this to not happen again in future. As I'm sure everyone on here is aware Gold is at an all time high, this really did have an effect on orders, we where inundated with so many orders that stock ran out. Where we purchase the stock from, there was a huge delay in our delivery out of our control. We often use just the one supplier to ensure the best deals and delivery times.

So rather than refusing orders we continued to accept orders without knowing there was going to be such a large delay in deliveries. When we did receive any enquiries we did inform the customer of a delay in delivery. (However we would like to acknowledge there could have been clearer communication)

I have seen some comments on here concerning us being a new firm. We are a new firm nearly one year old, but this has no bearing on the the delay in delivery times or how we treat our customers. We collectively as a group of four directors have a wealth of knowledge concerning coins and offer coins at fair prices, of course we do have a mark up on some of the pieces we offer, this is standard practice as we lose out on the bullion coins, we are a business and do need to pay costs. It has been a difficult year with the sky rocket of gold but we are still here to tell the tale and will be for the considerable future.

I would like to address a few of the concerns regarding our offices and accounts. With us being a new firm we are still not yet due to file our accounts, we are also not a marketing company working out of a mail house or "virtual office" we are in Richmond House with plenty of room for expansion which is what we intend on doing and expanding rapidly.

I would also like to address "The Regal Mint" this is a company not owned by us, nor do we have any connection, that company is dissolved. We changed our name from "Regal Mint" to "The Buckingham Collection." As can be seen on companies house. We chose a name that sounded prestigious as we are a Gold specialist and only selling 22 Carat Gold or above, we do not sell any other precious metals.

Also. "Yes" we only offer one bullion order per household per year.

All sales should be delivered within 7-10 working days maximum from now on. However we have implemented a few measures to ensure that our customers receive their coins in adequate time frames, the first being an alert system.

Any orders that we expect will have a delay in delivery will be flagged by our system, automatically a text message or email will follow, giving an estimated time frame of delivery giving us clear communication with the customer, upon receiving that message, if you are not happy with the time frame of delivery we will honour a full an immediate refund via your payment method. (please be advised this takes 3-5 days, thats the acquiring bank not us).

The second implementation: We will refuse orders for coins if there is no stock available, unless customer is happy in waiting the time frame within our terms and conditions.

Paying via Paypal is available on our site as a method of payment along with our standard card processing.

As an apology from us here at The Buckingham Collection we would like to offer a FREE half sovereign to those that had to wait the long time frames for delivery. To claim your coin please send us an email at info@buckinghamcollection.co.uk with your surname and postcode only. We will check the system if your wait time was longer than the 7 - 10 working days we will have your free half sovereign sent out as a priority. There is a maximum of 10 that we can offer, the offer is only available to forum members only.

We are going to continue to improve our products and services and hopefully build and regain the trust in not just the members here, but everyone.

Thanks again for reading.

We started this business for our own love of Gold and Coins, but as an organisation we have accepted our faults are are working vigorously to change the key areas, such as customer service, this is of utmost importance to us.

Fair play to you, good explanation and a more than generous compensation offer.

Ditto that!

I didnt have any delay with my coin from you but being a forum member I am aware of some that have.  I just want to say its nice to see a company grab the bull by the horns so to speak and directly address faults and a very generous compensation offer to boot.

It will be interesting to see how attitudes change in the coming weeks but this post certainly makes you an attractive company to deal with.  Other companies who I wont mention are gaining a reputation for their direct lack of customer service.  It does not go unnoticed, kudos to you.

The Buckingham Collection got off to a bad start, but your apology and acceptance of your faults are to be commended.

Your new implementations will hopefully keep customers in the loop, and that is great.

I wish you all the best

Rich

Thank you for your kind feedback.

Well played! Well played indeed!

If this turns out to be the real deal you’ve just got yourself another customer (if the price is right).

Currently building my silver stack so looking for Kooks, Koalas, Eagles & Pandas

Outside of silver I also run a technology YouTube channel http://youtube.com/thenorthernblogger

@TheBuckinghamCollection does this offer extend to those people that placed an order and never received anything for 30 days, (not even an apology) before receiving a refund.

I'm in the same boat as you, make a claim and find out, I have.

I have just received an email from Ronnie of @TheBuckinghamCollection, saying that they will be sending me a free half sov. As I sent them an email just after midnight, and I received a reply within 20 minutes, I have to say this is a vast improvement on my previous dealings with the company. So credit where credit is due.

I will post again on receipt of the coin.

I have also got an e-mail from them I've not been promised a free half sov but they have said they will look into it and give me an answer by lunchtime today. I will keep you posted how I get on.

A few people have been offered free half sovereigns, including you. Unfortunately this may not be the case for everyone. We do only have 10 available.

Having been one of the very first Silver Forum members to order from The Buckingham Collection and even then having had to wait in excess of 10 working days for it to arrive, as well as being one of the first to respond last night to your offer of a free half sovereign, I would be extremely disappointed if I were not to receive one.

Think your self lucky you actually got what you had paid for I didnt so my disappointment will be greater than yours if my claim for a free half sovereign was not honoured.

I seem to remember it was thirty pieces of silver?

Now it's ten pieces of gold.

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live, and It's  Britannia, with one t and two n's.

Yours has been confirmed.

There you go!

A real-life indicator as to how much the gold:silver ratio has changed over a couple of millennia! :D

A 10% off code to anyone who had to wait would have been something, a free half sovereign is going above and beyond, I'd go as far as to say it's too generous lol

It's very generous indeed, but only for the first ten people who see it on the forum (some may not even be forum members) and it seemed like more than ten members were probably affected.
