  1. Not a lot over spot I'd guess.
  2. Very, very nice, but did you really have to put it right after my 50 quid worth of silver!!!??? Making me look like a cheapskate? Which I am to be fair.🤣🤣🤣
  3. More modest pick ups. A spotless 1999 Britannia, only 8 or 9 short of the date run now. The 1977 proof crown because, well, every home should have one. It's very pretty. Lastly a good 1941 half crown, another hole filled on that little .500 date run.
  4. Fair enough, then go for it. I very much doubt any decent dealer would be offended by your request.
  5. If you are buying gold from a reputable dealer then I wouldn't be worried about being fleeced. Judging by your question and your intention to spend what I presume is going to be significant amount of cash, I would first stop and ask yourself why. And then ask yourself what - coins and bars are different beasts, and then ask yourself how long are you going to keep it. Where are you going to keep it - are you happy to have a small fortune in gold at home. And finally how are you going to sell it if and when the time comes. I remember a post o here a year or so ago from a member who had bought tens of thousands of pounds worth of gold bars. He overpaid at the time and then was struggling to sell them. I would imagine that most members here who are big on gold (I'm not one of them) would generally advise sovereigns if you are planning buying gold. The reasons are many and will likely be pointed out by later posts.
  6. They do 250g minted, which is lovely, and very nearly 10oz... Brilliant start. A job begun is a job half done and all that!😀
  7. What are you going to do with 1000 of them?
  8. silvertrader.uk Run by Martin Whitehouse, he's on this forum, but not actively. If it's the 1st series QB red dragon you're after then place a wanted ad in the trade section. I'm sure there will be plenty around. Good luck.
  9. That's funny, my wife can smell silver before it gets through the letterbox!!!😂
  10. I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that the last 2oz kookaburra was 2009. Which is a shame as they are stunning. That's why I have one as my profile pic... So I wouldn't expect a 2oz this year unfortunately.
  11. In theory yes, in reality it just gets put in a box and taken to its new home. I'd imagine...😁
  12. Haha, me too. Win some lose some I suppose...
  13. I already own all the Peter Rabbit memorabilia that I ever will. Which is none.😄
  14. Still plenty of this tat available...
  15. My stack is for my kids. I started out with no real plan, just bought the odd silver ounce because I liked them. That was about 5 years ago, and only really upped my buying in the last 2 years or so. Now properly have the bug, for better or worse. I have a reasonable pension, that should be enough, but you never know how things will turn out, so I suppose the stack is a plan B. In an ideal world I would like to get to around 700-800 oz (silver, obviously...) and perhaps 15-20 of gold. I find silver more aesthetically pleasing and think it has greater long term potential than gold. (Maybe!!!) Either way, when it goes to the kids they can do what they like, cash it in or use it to start their own stack. I get the enjoyment of putting it together and owning it for a while, then it will be passed on - it won't have cost the kids a penny so it's a win-win. I know its not much of a plan, it's more about enjoyment for me and a wee helping hand for the kids when the time comes. A hobby with benefits!
  16. Another couple of Brits to go in the world's slowest ever silver bullion Brit date run. A wee bit embarrassed its taken me this long to get round to it, but hey ho - a little over half way now. Thanks to @Petra for the 06 & 18.
  17. Brits from @Shep who was a pleasure to deal with, Bond from silvertrader. I wish the No Time To Die bar was presented in the same pack - it looks great, very Pamp...
  18. Good point, its 2nd at worst. Thanks for pointing out my stupidity, I'm not even going to edit it, I deserve the ridicule!😀
  19. Daft question, sorry - did RM release a carded version of the first bar - No Time to Die? I may have missed it, but don't think so. If they didn't then why start now with the latest one? I'm going to get one, but the apparent mish-mash of presentations will upset me a little! 3rd world problem I know...
  20. At the princely sum of £0 you are a winner.
