  1. Well done, that's a bold move. If you can pay the bills doing something you love then you are a lucky man.
  2. That's a fair old list. Have you not got a business to run???😀
  3. Very nice, I have the Orientals and gairsoppa as well. I also have the horse mule so I suppose the Brit would complete the pair. Not looking at going for the privies except the trident. I have to 2020 proof but probably won't go any further with them.
  4. In silver its only 1998-2022, so 25. Excluding the 1997 which was only a proof, and a few extras such as the 2017 trident privy.
  5. Another 2 Brits in the date run courtesy of @PapaLazarou Not many to go now. Kooks next probably, though I am remarkably easily distracted, so we'll see...
  6. If you really want a 50g lump of gold then it's as good as any. Likewise with Sharps Pixley as a dealer. As has already been mentioned, there are some downsides, but I presume you are well aware of these. I would say though, that if you gave every member of this forum 2.5k to spend on gold I don't think many would buy that particular (or indeed any) gold bar. Myself included. But it's your money and the heart wants what the heart wants. How to spend 2.5k isn't a bad problem to have...
  7. Yes, I'd probably have paid maybe 30 quid to do my bit for bricks amprtar business, but I'm not putting his kids through private school! Have you ever seen the shop off George Square on St Vincent St open? Always has the shutters closed when I see it.
  8. The Argyle arcade, yes. You a weegie as well?
  9. Dozens. I can do you 10 for £450 posted is you're interested...
  10. It is the right way up. Its a special edition Quarter (turn) Britannia. That's why its 35 quid. Bargain.
  11. A few weeks ago a jewellers in Glasgow looked me straight in the eye and asked £40 (yes, forty) quid each for manky silver Brits. It cracks me up just thinking about it!!😀
  12. Not sure, but Baird's did a load of rounds like this for Diwali etc.
  13. Is it a 'Spread on the Day'? Last one, sorry.😁
  14. @LawrenceChard - why don't you give @GoldDabbler the first one for free, you know, to see if he likes it?! You know he'll be back, and back and back...
  15. I'd rather never need to sell anything, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!
  16. If the RM had used this design for this years sovereign it would have been a thing to behold.
  17. As chance would have it I received the 2016 silver proof of this today. A lovely thing, with a mintage comparable to the Kew 50p, for very little money. Really nice condition too. Chuffed.
  18. This is a very unfortunate and difficult situation. I hope the member involved in indeed alright, and there is at least some sort of justification for this. In my 2 years or so on this forum this is the first such incident I can recall. I suppose given the sheer volume of trading that goes on here then that alone speaks volumes for this community. I have only made 20 or so transactions (buying & selling) on here, each one flawless, and I certainly wouldn't let this incident lessen my confidence in trading on here. I hope any new(ish) members reading this thread are not put off by it.
