  1. Many thanks daca. Just found this - https://www.coinworld.com/news/world-coins/perth-mint-releases-first-coin-with-king-charles-iii
  2. Thanks 8ace 👍 I see Canada have moved over to the King on this years Maple.
  3. Hi Guys, Does anyone know the release date for this years Kooks? I can only seem to confirm January? Do we know whether they will bear the King’s or Queen’s effigy?
  4. Hi Guys, Please forgive my ignorance. But I see on the my news today, that the Royal Mint have produced crowned effigy coins now. One of which is described as a one ounce silver. Am I right in thinking that this will be another Britannia, or is it something else in it’s own right? Only picture I can find is of a gold example.
  5. Thanks again 👍. Very interesting!!
  6. If I may go slightly off topic briefly. Am curious to learn why the Canadian & Australian mints are still producing E11R 1 oz silver coins? When could we expect to see C111R coins being produced?
  7. Thanks Anteater 👍 Very interesting 👍👍
  8. Just out of interest, will not the E11R version be “rarer”, as not as many will have been minted, by the end of 2023, surely the lions share will be C111R.
  9. Are these available yet, does anyone know?
  10. Interesting, are these to be limited edition given the change in monarch?
  11. Hi Guys, Does anyone know why they stopped minting these coins after just two years (2018/2019). Such a shame in my humble opinion!
  12. Interesting that the 2018 F15, has the moon.
  13. I had always assumed, that privy marks on “Kooks”, were just box standard coins bought by an independent company, who sent them back to the mint, to have the privy mark added, and that these coins ate into the total amount struck by the mint? Is this the case? I notice that the 2018 “Kook” with and without privy marks appears to be a slightly different design (removal of the moon), which makes think, are in fact privy mark coins an entirely separate creature from general production and in fact struck independently, on behalf of a company by the Perth Mint? Or is the 2018 “Kook” unique in this way?
  14. There’s a U.K. dealer on EBay selling gilded 2022 Kooks, for £80 + £4 postage, if that’s of interest?
