It's just the royal mint tactics... Make it look like they are the last few, then people rush to buy them.. But in the end, Royal Mint lands up having many cancelled or returned orders.

My first thoughts are that serious collectors will want both coins (the US and the RM one). I wonder if they will make it convenient and include some two-coin sets amongst the options without having to import anything.
Also, seems a bit weird that our coin says "Britannia and Liberty" on it whereas the US one carries the same design but only says "Liberty".

At this rate of collaboration we will end up with a Boris and Biden  commemorative.

That's about £750 per coin, but they are all various coins - piedfort, proof and BU... Don't think this is a good mix of coins to buy together... Would have loved it if it was mix of SOTDs😉😁

More like 100 or so of the SOTD's were put aside for trade customers and the mints account managers customers. Most likely didn't bite so they are still available.
Don't be surprised if there isn't a 2 box presentation with both of them from this year by xmas.

It's the only 2023 sovereign with a bare head monarch so at some time it could become sought after.  At the moment the price is a problem, especially as it's less than a week since they launched the 2024 proof at £725.

In my opinion, in Proof coins, COA is worth a lot. Most people (including me) can't differentiate a proof from bullion unless different design, so the COA and original box matters a lot to verify it's authenticity.
