The vagaries of the site. I buy a few things of it cannot remember when I last sold something. Is too much effort and as you say a lot of strange buyers on there. It defintely is a buyers site
with little comfort given to sellers.
Some sellers are idiots. I bought a half sov back in 2009 and they posted it loose in an envelope with a 2nd class stamp...
Good job I'm honest.

I'd love a five but could only stretch to a double. Stunning coin. I also have the half.
I may sell the half but the double is a permanent addition to my collection.

Apologies if it's already been mentioned but Chards are expecting a second batch of coins if anyone is still after one.

Do you think a full sell out of everything in under 24 hours is good for the potential of this 2022 sovereign ??
There's always demand for special issue full sovs. Double and quintuple also seem to be popular. Half and quarter sovs might struggle.

Picked up a full from Chards - I don't fancy the RM quality control process...

Or they are grading them all
True,they've really got into grading.

Nothing at the Coin Connection yet. I guess they'll turn up once RM sells out....

Too early to know for sure however I didn’t expect RM to release so many different variations of the first coin release. Clearly this is the direction they will continue with for future Tudor Beasts coins.
Scarcity is a factor of future value but currently I still feel that the QB series will hold better value in the long run.
RM are milking every release now.
I'm not sure about this series - half of me thinks it will tank, the other half thinks it's a sleeper and will shoot up in value in 5 or 6 years.

A week is most that I've waited and they emailed me to apologise for the delay. A year is mad...

Don't get me started on the 007 silver special edition. I gave up after two returns.
I can understand some issues with bullion grade but not proofs.

Looks pretty uninspiring to me.

Just catching up with this thread. BCC are still trying to dispose of their present stock of 41 for the reduced price of £199 each.
If they knock another £100 off then I might be interested.

I think it depends if the graders view the spots as post-production imperfections.
-
Those look like the standard black spots which seem to come on all RM silver proofs these days. I did see an NGC grade 70 which had them so it might not pull the grade down.
-
I bought a proof coin described as mint condition but it arrived with a finger print on both sides. It was going for conservation and grading so I wasn't too fussed given the price. However, I'd be wary buying from them again.

Try tab shop on the top, then new on the left hand side.
Found it. I'd have thought it would be advertised on the front page but my android device just had Mr Men...
I can't see two ounce so it might be released later or they've all sold to account holders.

Sneak Preview of The Who Pinball Wizard Design...
No, not really, just our own visualisation of what it might look like.
This was actually quite a simple quick piece of work. With more time thrown at the project, we could have used one of two Tommy or Pinball Wizard themed pinball machines from years ago, or changed some of the playboard graphics to "Pinball Wizard, Tommy, etc."
When the Royal Mint's own design is published, which will be better, theirs or ours?
Looks pretty close to the mark.

Just as an aside... those who have had issues on their 3G 2oz.. what was your COA number? Mine was (I think) around 2900 something... maybe the die was being cleaned properly
I don't think the COA has any relation to the coin strike order. Rather they just put a coin in a random box with COA.
There might be a link to a poorly trained employee though, no excuse for scratches and fingerprints!

I'm not very up to scratch with new releases etc, I'm just wondering why these carry such a high premium?
Expectation/hope/desirability.
The Una and the Lion coin has steadily built a momentum over 15 months in both gold and silver based on a solid foundation of sales across a range of platforms. Many were initially bought by collectors rather than to flip. Substantial price rises weren't widely predicted.
Due to the Una price rises, a lot of people bought the Three Graces to make money (I tried to) due to an expectation that it will do as well despite a higher mintage.
This might be right or it could just be a bubble like many RM coin releases. Time will tell.

HODL and wait. Next to no down side risk. Pop it in your safe and wait
Agree for gold. Silver has the downside that it may milk spot in a very ugly way.

Markets really not liking this budget. Will be interesting to see how high gold goes.
