i recall a thread from a few years ago where colourised Queens Beast coins were presented. I am not a big fan of colourised coins, indeed this is something i would point out to newbies to steer clear of colourised coins if you plan to resell b/c the general community is not keen on them. In the case of the Queens Beast coins, they did look quite stunning and gained approval of quite a number of members. i tried to dig out that thread but was unsuccessful in finding it - as i say it was quite a few years ago now.
Having said i am not keen on colourised coins, i do have some colourised coins myself - i have a full set of the Perth Dragon coins i bought off the forum. i think if the right coin is colourised it can work as i think it does with the dragon coins. It is like antiqued coins, it can bring out the beauty and details which is lost on the basic silver coin.

This is a barndoor obvious fake.
Some other poor sucker is going to get robbed.
There should be a way to report these to trading standards and have them destroyed or at least indelibly marked as fake.

i have both commemorative versions and the original versions. i don't believe the commemorative versions will necessarily sell as bullion. Some are quite collectible - it is on a case by case basis.

i see this coin is for sale on ebay at $100 whilst the plain coin is $40.

sixgun got a reaction from Spyder in 2005 Gold Panda Three versions, Why?
It is not unusual that the Chinese use the panda design for a year for commemorative coins. i guess it saves time and expense designing another coin.
Here are a couple more examples. There are lots knocking around.

i take it this ring is gold and it is 'very old'.
i see a lion passant guardant there - well it think that is what it is.

Looks like the lion is facing forwards.
    https://www.marklittler.com/the-history-of-british-hallmarking/
The lion passant still appears on silver but it used to appear on gold as well. The lion passant was the fineness mark used on 22 carat gold from 1544 until 1844.
The 18 carat gold standard was introduced in 1798 and was marked with a crown and the number 18.

After 1844 both 18 ct and 22 ct standards were marked with a crown and either the number 22 or 18.
So on that basis we are looking at a 22 ct gold ring from between 1544 and 1844.
Are we looking at the date letter for 1839 on its side? If we say a gothic D, that is 1839 for the London assay office. It is other years for other offices.

So it appears to our eye as

It all depends on what we think this mark is - which i think is the mark for the assay office.

You should reclaim the taxes before you leave Germany. i have never gone through the process but i know for sure there is a Customs Office at Alicante airport where with the right paperwork filled in, you can reclaim the IVA on goods that you are taking out of the EU.
    https://www.frankfurt-airport.com/en/airport-guide/help-at-the-airport/vat-refunds.html
There is VAT on platinum coins in the UK. Some people might pocket the coins and treat them as cash if they were legal tender - especially if UK coinage. You are allowed to bring in up to 10,000€ in cash (includes coins) without declaring it.
    https://www.gov.uk/bringing-cash-into-uk
My issue might be that you are tagged having made a reclaim in Germany and UK customs are expecting you on the other side. Things haven't tended to be that joined up but they might be one day.

The data is all fart, no poo. Smoke and mirrors.
USA bragging jobs up over 300,000.... When you get in to the nitty gritty, full time workers are DOWN 22,000 and 123,000 people took second jobs in the last month - because they can't make ends meet.
But, oh no, alas this means the economy is strong. Morons.

Post NFP news release (i view as BS numbers), bond rates are roaring up = US debt being heavily shorted. The time to the yield curve crossing zero getting close - and from past experience when this happens we see a financial crisis.

These are all fake numbers - these figures are a survey and so can be manipulated until the cows come home. They are saying the jobs market in the US is hot - this is a joke. It is a fake to cover up the shltshow that actually exists. No-one wants US debt and it is increasingly being dumped - this is why bond rates are going up. If there were confidence the economy was strong then it would mean lower interest rates - so investors would move into Treasuries. It's all BS.
China comes back from holiday on Monday so even more physical will be sucked out of the Western system.
