Today I had this sovereign arrive I'm pleased with the coin 1911 Canada mint Ottawa. I've been after this year for a while in a good condition Uncirulated I will be sending off for grading with a few more after the new year. Just pleased so i thought i will share.

Yes, @Roy that would be nice, probably more by luck than judgement! There won't be an Edward VIII involved though.

Add those to the 1887 Sovereign Proof PCGS PR62UC last week and I'm skint.

I shall tell my good lady that I have bought her an investment for Christmas!

She thinks I have another woman and got me to take a lie detector test. When asked "Do you have any other women in your life?" I failed - I had to admit my passion for Victoria's.....

Well that's blown my budget for the next few months so will, like others, have to make it my last purchase until next year....

Thanks to Ash a couple of 1 kilo bars from Australia. Deak International bought the refinery from Engelhard which explains why the bars have a similar look. Deak didn't last long and was bought out by Johnson Matthey.

thanks, it's ok where i am, other areas near me been worse than 2 years ago, some not as bad. Generally not in the same league.

Half sovs just arrived from HGM, George V 1925 and Liz 1982, very pleased with the condition. Couldn't believe how excited I was opening the package and wondering what I had been sent. Apologies for the crappy camera. My first gold.
 

I had a bar sent to me mate Denzil down in Kernow.
He sms'd me today to say it had arrived.
'e says, Roy. Roy, e says, I got this ruddy parcel delivered today only it's heavy so it is.
I told him to open it. Carefully, I said.
He opens it and tells me it's a big ol' lump o' silver.
