The 1g rounds, how many different variations are there?
It looks like the bottoms right corner, walking liberty, Morgan head and Eagle

Have I got the price right on this?
Yes you have, just a slow market unfortunately
I'm wondering if people are less willing generally to pay the premium on proofs? Wanting instead nice quality bullion version of the same coin?

I actually don't mind the Jersey and St Helena ones. Don't know if Australia looks different as they have included top of shoulders rather than neck line.

Not to ask the obvious question but did you order / get delivered the correct caps? As others have said a little wiggle room is normal, but your saying twice as thick. Just wondering if you have a piedfort case??

For anyone wondering, I was part of the 2nd run. Had no drama and @Fadeingstar was brilliant. Great communication and quick postage, total pleasure to do business with!

Thanks for keeping us all updated @Fadeingstar

Does anyone get a problem when using a credit card
The other problem with this is, I can be seen as a "cash" purchase so gets silly interest ontop

i think as others have said or alluded too, is it worth the paper its printed on? if i have a proof of purchase for a sov, how do you know the sov i'm selling links to that paperwork? Even when it comes to things such a Certificate of coin, how do you know they match up.... i buy 2 coins from the mint on release coin number 001 and Coin 999 can you tell which belongs to which coin, normally not.

Ultimately its down to personal preference. People often say buy at cheapest price over spot, while the logic is sound its not quite as simple as that. While of course getting the weight of gold as cheap as possible makes sense, it's also dependent on how you intend to sell in the future. If something unexpected comes up selling one or two sovereigns maybe enough cash instead of selling a full 1oz coin. Likewise the premium you pay for the coin is often transferred when selling if on here.

This is where the discussions between preservation of wealth vs terms investment come into play. No one can know for certain what's gonna happen

Hello and welcome, have fun and enjoy TSF

Hello and welcome, friendly bunch here really any questions just ask on TSF people are often happy to help.

@samj89 I would suggest as others have said going and removing the large amount of blank lines from post.
@BriEarl yes there have been a few post regarding the series. You looking to buy, sale, general conversion?
As others have said some are put off by the premium over spot price, i understand that. I like the series myself and am happy to pay the premium for them.

calipers and decent set of scales
Cheap and cheerful but I would also add a neodymium magnet to that list, very quick and easy one to check @minionsofgold. Another thing you can do after the fact is a specific gravity test. You can find instructions online for how to do it.

when it's time to sell something of their own
I do understand your point, I myself haven't sold anything on here, but as a buyer I also understand this standpoint. For me personally when I am looking at prices for items I include p&p as part of my total cost for item. So when buying low value singular items the cost can be high, buy a silver 1oz for £30 but then with postage it suddenly becomes £37 with RM SD. Obviously when you buy from a business there is more "cover" if I pay for item with royal mail tracking and it doesn't arrive I contacted the business and come to an agreement. No on here as a private seller people often state (and rightly so) postage at buyers risk. I do understand the hypocritical point you were talking about but I suppose that's just my thoughts behind people's mentality.... maybe I'm making a wrong assumption?
