OT apropos FleaBay there was a curious tidbit in the latest Coin News saying that Robert Parkinson, former Head of Auctions at Sovereign Rarities is moving over  in November to take over management of eBay's Coins and Bullion category for the UK. Says the article: "Robert will be looking after eBay's numismatic community and formulate working strategies for the future of the platform." 
Quote Robert: "I am excited for the new role and look forward to making eBay a more secure platform for numismatic trading."

I reckon as soon as people start getting them in their hands and some better photos / youtube videos come out, the demand will pick up.

I will be very surprised if they don’t all sell out by the end of December. It is a great design and the first King Charles III sovereign. I have no regrets about my purchases. These will be a great investment for the future.

All pure gold is gold coloured. Any 'pink' or 'rose' colouring is from the alloying (in the case of Sovs) or impurities (in the case of panned Gold). If you refined Clogau gold to 4 nines purity, it would look gold.

My plan was to have a look but instead I bought:
2 x 3 coin sets
2 x 1 Sovereigns
2 x half sovereigns. 
Still might add a bigger set but have been on the edge

Yeah nah, new King 1st Sov means VERY sought after at a much higher price imo

I know that the designer is...Jody Clark (yes it's surprising as he does not work anymore for the RM a priori) . I can't confirm if the design is the right one, however, if you pay a attention to the reverse, you'll read  J.C as designer.
So my bet is this is the right (and gorgeous) one

Today i visited the safe deposit box. Nice to see them again. Had a little count up as wasn’t 100% on the exact amount of sovereigns.
 
151 sovereigns, 1 half sov and 14 1oz coins. So depending on how many decimals I’m either 2 full sovs or 1 and a half sovs away from my target for the year of 50oz.

Nice one mate.  I used to own a pre-Ernie Ball era Musicman Sabre Bass.  Very rare and almost impossible to find these days.  One of the best basses I ever owned and great for that 1980s Mark King style slapping thing ( although that style is a bit old hat now lol ) I rather stupidly sold it in 1985 when I was skint and wish I hadn't as they're worth a packet now..

In the nicest possible way, In my business I would never sell anything at a loss if could avoid it.
There's a growing lot of 10-15+ year stackers here and same happens every smack down.
Web sites go offline, they are upgrading severs, high demands means we are not accepting new orders, inventory not available for purchase.
It's not the dealer, it is what it is.
If gold went down 20%over night that shelves will be bear and unavailable for purchase. No inventory available you is getting no gold 
When I think back when silver went sub £10oz you still couldn't get silver less than 20 for a single Oz 
Honestly looking at spot price and analysis of GSR is daft these days.

I phoned around a few of the usual places today. They all got nothing! Or so they say…

Premiums could be +100%but  if dealers have no inventory to sell at all it doesn't matter you still not getting your gold at 3% or +100%
Waiting for that mega drop in price to Hoover everything cheap simply doesn't happen in reality.
Just buy little and often every month. And net result you'll have +MORE gold than you did have the month previous. Win win 
The price is only really every relevant when you exit your position and sell.
If you don't plan to sell at all or for 20+years  Is it really a worry and extra fiver paid per sov today ???
