Just got the Charles effigy in for 2023 1/4oz Silver Britannia. I've been waiting for it, having received the 2023 Queen effigy late last year.
    Pictured is 19 x Charles 2023, 20 x Queen 2023, 19 x Queen 2021.
Yeah, the full tube for the Charles now reverted to 19 coins again, whereas in the Queen 2023 there were 20 in a tube.

Thank you @ilovesilverireallydo for this wonderful Platinum Jubilee Piedfort Sovereign in fabulous condition 😃
It was orphaned from its presentation case- I was lucky enough to find a case at a well known auction site 👍

I'll try not to derail too far. Hamas aren't terrorists, they are religious fundamentalists. They don't want political power, money or territory like the IRA, they want nothing less than the complete annihilation of the Jews and to build an Islamic Caliphate on the rubble of Jerusalem. The Iranians are in the same boat and together they want to take over the world in the name of their false god, Allah
Sorry I agree with everything you said and you might be right about the gold price thing too. Gold and silver are important to Jews though. As it says in the Talmud, "Let every man divide his money into three parts, and invest a third in land, a third in business and a third let him keep by him in reserve."
Being a religious text there is some interpretation with many equating "in reserve" = cash, and that this cash should be "non-custodial", i.e. gold and silver that you have personal custody over. Of course you can make an argument for cash itself and cash-like equivalents. When tensions rise Jewish people tend to favour the precious metals interpretation. Anyway, watch this video from the "Son of Hamas" below and gold is still at £1656.43 😁

To my knowledge, the banks refund you only if the scammer keeps the money in his account ( they reverse the transaction), if the scammer cashes out no refund can be done.

Excellent News. Just heard from the bank and they have refunded me the entire £850!!!
Thanks so, so much to all the forum members, moderators and @BackyardBullion who have all very kindly offered messages of support, advice and more than generous donations. It really has touched me to know that the forum has my back.
I know one other member who was effected by this scam who successfully got reimbursed by the bank. Does anybody know how the others fared with their banks?
    Thanks again so much!!!

I should add that the level of trust here is very high.  I helped a forum member dispose of a very large quantity of silver which I took possession of and sold on their behalf.  The individual trusted me on the basis of my forum contributions.
I did so for zero personal gain - just helping someone who needed help selling box after box of silver.
Just have to be careful who we deal with.

Very sorry to hear about this.  For what it’s worth, I follow a few personal rules around who I will do business with on the forum.
    - I won’t do business with anyone who is not an active member and contributor
    - I check good feedback, but have bought from at least one person with no feedback because he was a contributor.
    - I won’t do business with anyone that has ever advertised something I think is not genuine.  No second chances - if you don’t know what you are selling you are a Binlord in my book
    - If I have had doubts, I have asked another forum member with whom they have done business with
My personal experience of the forum has been exceptional with people bending over backwards to get an item shipped fast and 99percent communicate very well.
If anyone else has any other rules it would be good to hear.

It looks like this character was acting in a carefully planned way by his messages and actions - the smoke screen to sow confusion with investigating officials with messages referring to sweets then packages (with proof of postage) bearing the same. It seems over the top to normal folks but if this character is a pro grifter could be running multiple identities pulling the same trick with all of them, giving him a steady scam income stream and leaving burned ID's behind. Thus what looks like relatively low-level scamming can actually be quite a well organised ongoing large scale fraud. The obvious difficulties with this are:
    1. The need for multiple burner addresses - but not so difficult in bed-sitter land.
    2. The need for multiple burner bank accounts - I am not trying to demonise anyone but facts are facts - there are certain demographics in our society who can obtain bank accounts with remarkable ease without the need for credit references, utility bills or other proofs of residence. For 'bad guys' access to bank accounts is not a problem.
This just highlights the need to be vigilant with all sellers and not just newbies - I don't know of a 'water tight' solution given that the Forum is trust based but we must not loose sight of the 99.99% of the time  when it works remarkably well for everyone's benefit Although it has to be said that there are some honest sellers whose communication could do with tightening up - you know who you are - to salve rattled nerves.

Just to give the flip side of what's happened. Although my feedback doesn't really point this out, but, I have bought enough gold on the forum to have paid for a small 3 bed house, without any real issue. I do try to use those that not only have good feedback but good reputational points and post a lot across the forum. It's a true saying that one bad egg will ruin the omelette. Hope it doesn't put you off stacking or collecting @bestg77

Thanks so much to everyone for the messages of support and advice and the more than generous offers. I'm really, really touched!
I've contacted the Fraud Action team (for all the good that will do!) and will call my bank tomorrow (apparently the fraud team only works 8am-8pm)
Will let you know of any updates. Am assuming its a foregone conclusion but guess i will know for sure once i've spoken to the bank
Thanks again everyone, really appreciate it

I remember buying on gumtree and the guy wanted a bank transfer I (for my own security) asked him if he’d take a cheque and when it cleared he can send me the goods, he agreed sent me his name and address once I had that I told him I’d changed my mind and sent the cash by bank transfer.
So I know whose door is getting kicked in if I’m ripped off 😎

Well, he sent me a pack of sweets instead my coins. The guy is on hold and I believe is going to by ban for good. He was member for around 1.5 year with some good trading feedbacks. Still wonder what was he strategy as he 'sold' the last three lots for total of £2.4k. Was it really worth it?

He did the same to @bestg77 me. However, I contacted the police and fraud team and after that my bank. To my surprise, my bank (which is Halifax) decided to transfer this money back after my call. So, it is also important how and by who you pay. Anyway, that was a good lesson with happy ending for me. Hope you guys get your money back.

You pay by sellers choice, will predominantly be either bank transfer or PayPal friends and family.
The feedback score is a tough one to be honest, there's a lot of great members on here who don't trade too much but are reliable, unfortunately they will have low feedback and in light of recent events, they will now be punished and assumed unreliable.
I could easily throw out a number but feedback only tells half the story, would be easier for me to say 'send me a message with a sellers name and I will say yes or no' I've dealt with 90% of the regulars on here and can either vouch or advise to stay clear.
