Some perfect Maklouf's dropped off today. Can't beat these 1980's QEII portrait's. 

Today I received a curiosity purchase… 5 of these goldbacks, one from each issuing state. Had seen a few things about these so thought it’d be fun to grab some, and they’re really quite beautiful ☺️

Nice shiny 10oz Brit arrived today, intended for my son's 18th (it's a surprise, so don't tell him!), courtesy of @SilverTalent I think all I got for mine was socks, beer and one of those plastic '18' keys - how times have changed 😂😂😂

Hard to find 5 coin Australia lunar set 2020 made specifically for Chinese customer. They had metal rings around the coin luckily just slide off. They have a lip for the coin to sit on.

Having said that, the bun-head Young Victoria is one of my favourite obverses
Leonard Charles Wyon’s portraits, were better than his Father’s IMO….
Photo shows the classical Young head portrait by William Wyon, next to his eldest son Leonard’s ‘Australia’ Sovereign. For comparison the ‘bunhead’ farthing is also shown, by L.C.

@Petra It's mainly the special reverse I like although I have got two standard doubles,  I love the doubles great size for seeing the beauty of the coin.

D Day.  One or two private mints have jumped on this bandwagon and RM look like they are joining them.  SotD could be part of the offering.
 

That’s my fear. The SotD has pretty much gone from being a “special occasion strike” to its own annual series.
