Sad, that is why these fakes need to be removed from circulation. I thought you would have had as a minimum a sigma to test out in the field.
That coins has to be thicker or wider to make the weight. If the seller knew it was a fake with of half the gold content, they they are scum.
I honestly have no idea if they knew or not, But not getting back to me definitely isn’t doing much on their favour.
I could continuously ring or even drive over, But I guess it’s my own fault. (Hard lesson learnt, First time something like this has happened to be honest).
I had the sigma, Everything else was as is…. the sigma was reading this slightly over at the time it weighted correct so didn’t think much of it, as I’ve had actual RM minted coins not test on the 22ct setting on a sigma before….. but they tested fine on a XRF I believe it has something to do with the alloy composition. (More silver etc).

Probably best to get it out of circulation ASAP and scraped tbh.
I honestly would do it without a drop of a heart beat, if only I paid for 10.5ct…. but I got burnt on this one really bad, I paid 22ct on this after I found out…. I contacted the seller to no availability.
If I can sell as a lot I can recoup my costs, If not may sell the mule on another platform & just keep the repro as a lesson learnt token.

Who can see a monkey face in the 2nd image or is it just me who finds faces in things.
How much would you want for just the nugget? @StackSellRepeat
Honestly prefer letting it go as one piece, But Aussi high grade nuggets usually fetch anywhere from £100-120 per a gram.
That should give you a right price guide.

Gorgeous!
Having a raw gold nugget is on my bucket list, and that's a lovely looking one, but sadly I'm not in a position to take it. I'm sure someone will snap it up, though!
Can’t get any more real than owning a piece of natural gold which was formed since the beginning of earth supposedly, I’m sure I can help you tick one off your bucket list.

Rather than your investment sitting in a dark box, with this you’ll get to physically enjoy it

Fantastic Australian natural 23.5ct+ gold nugget high purity with at least two visible quartz, Slightly resembling an arrow head.
Comes in a 999+ fine gold chain - HK hallmarksThe previous owner was an elderly lady, Who bought this directly from Perth over 20 years ago as a keep sake.
Nugget with bail weights 16.8g approximately
Chain weights 39g approximately
Total weight shows 55.8g ApproximatelyLength approximately 10 inches
Width approximately 7-8mm
I would ideally like to trade for 2.5 oz’s of 999+ gold & I would prefer to finalise the transaction in person, Jewellery Quarter…… I can possibly post with special delivery at your cost.
P.S two pictures showing XRF on the obverse & reverse of the nugget & lastly the chain.
