Swapping gold for Euro's along with decades of the UK paying to uplift the EU (net contributor) and then be expected to pay again to leave, is more a reflection of general UK Parliament incompetence, is more often a liability rather than a asset. As was opening up the voting system for those MP's to one and all, when the majority poorer get to decide where money should be spent that's just a leveling down exercise. Nice for a brief period when everyone gets a few quid more, mid to longer term - a disaster.

It was extremely dumb, totally incompetent and utterly stupid. 
It was a fire sale of a nation's gold at rock bottom prices, a wealth transfer to special interests.
In fact, it was too stupid for it not to be the plan.

It's not their money, they don't give a terrible. They are nowhere to be seen when the SHTF. 

All to help the newly (then) started Euro - that we got no thanks for. And the sale auctions totally incompetently managed, pre-informing the markets of the amounts/times. Perhaps that's Scots/Labour for you, alongside other greats such as Sturgeon (do more harm than good). Oh look, they've just reappointed yet another failure (Sweeney).

I was a politics and economics student at the time...we all watched the days in real time in class unfold with more and more incredulity...
(Back when an education was actually useful, at least to some extent.)

Had some fun with the guy.  Willing to accept £425.  Title states one ounce but asked the weight and now it’s 0.1kg. 
All in all a fantastic listing at a great price. 😂

I am not an expert on this coin, but I would not buy this without expert advice / grading.

Out of interest, when sending in two packs is it best to take two payments? If royal mail limit is 2.5k and you need to make a claim, they may want to see proof of payment, and if they see over 2.5k, perhaps they can reject a claim? 
I could be wrong but thought I'd mention. I'm sure the likes of @James32 is used to dealing with transactions this size and will know!

Two packages but one payment, can easily be explained to why the splitting took place. After all its the RMs naff insurance policy that causes such..

.999 au coins can easily be scratched, so I put them in capsules if they don't come with one.
If they come in mint packaging ie. Sealed in plastic sleeve, then it'll leave them as they are.
This is except for the copper pennies sovereigns, where they rattle and jangle about even in 22mm capsules.
With these, I place them into a coin sleeve where it holds four like this.
 

But @dicker by that logic, if you don’t put them in a ‘capsule’ then you get another sovereign 9 months later?
You’ve just got on average 18 years to pay for it. 😆
