  1. Simply not true and JPMorgan aggressively sue those who asset that to be the case…..
  2. Not correct. He was spoofing for months and had come to the attention of the exchange who tried to get in touch a number of times. Jail anyone who manipulates markets. It’s the only way. Best Dicker
  3. Not quite. JP Morgan settled just under a billion dollars last year for spoofing. All involved fired with all bonuses clawed back. Best Dicker
  4. Sarao wrote (actually had someone to write for him) an programme to book then cancel trades. Known as spoofing and is monitored for on all exchanges. I understand that the flash crash trades we’re fully executed. Sarao was subsequently arrested in (I understand) his bedroom at his parents house in Hounslow. Best Dicker
  5. One think that @ChrisSilver might want to consider is making it a premium member only topic - or not searchable. If I was a forger it would be my go to post on what to improve. Best Dicker
  6. My guess is that it was dump paper to buy buy physical…..
  7. Would have allowed someone to buy a lot of physical for a cut price
  8. Gold continues the time honoured tradition of fast down then slowly up again. 1271 this morning.
  9. Gillicks at dealers are usually priced close to spot and certainly not anywhere near 400 for bullion on the forum or at dealers. Recently, a forum member was selling lots in what looked like MS condition for around 320 if my memory serves me correctly. My most recent dealer experience was buying superb condition 1959 Gillicks in superb MS condition for very close to the same price as 2021 Sovereigns. If you want interesting - look at shields Best Dicker
  10. Hello If it is something you have to have I would be aiming for 1550-1650 perhaps a touch more. 2k is too much in my opinion. If you are looking for an investment coin there are others to be had for that sort of premium over spot. My preference is not for modern issues but those that have been around for some time like Shield Sovereigns. Best Dicker
  11. @LawrenceChard Excellent. Particularly with the way you handled the counterfeit coupon question. Many thanks for this Best Dicker
  12. My suggestion would be to join the forum as a member in order to: - Access the bullion comparison tracking page - tracks the cheapest coins by type by dealer - Access sales by members section. Some of the best Sovereign deals available anywhere but are offered on the forum but they sell quickly. Get some trading feedback - lifeblood of being able to do deals on the forum. Best Dicker
  13. Kind offer, but I will pass on that one Bully!
  14. 1257 - some level of stability again.
  15. It really is remarkable that the US mint had this sort of problem and disappointing. My purchases from the US Mint have been smooth (but I was not buying popular issues at peak times). Would be good to hear what your coins look like when received. Best Dicker
  16. Welcome to the forum. I have paid in cash when dealing with someone I knew from the forum, otherwise electronic. Best Dicker
  17. This is a thread on Gold priced in GBP. My point isn’t about “slave systems” or the “correct” measure of inflation but simply one set of figures that will be released tomorrow. The context being that gold rose in price in GBP today, and the US CPI numbers are out tomorrow. Nothing more, nothing less. I suspect the other topics could do with their own threads. Best Dicker
  18. Watch the US CPI figures tomorrow….. I think we will see worse than expected inflation figures, just as the $1.2 Trillion has been passed…. I suspect the market might know this or strongly suspect this, hence gold firming up. But, I am a fool and it’s just a guess. Best Dicker

    ATS bullion

Only dealt with them once - in person at their Bricks and Mortar shop. They were very good to deal with. I strongly suspect this will get sorted out. Best Dicker
  20. I agree about some of the depictions of HMQ. The Perth Mint & Canadian mint renderings are really not to my taste at all.
  21. Hi All If anyone is in or visiting Edinburgh, it is worth visiting the National Museum of Scotland to see the Galloway Hoard. There is currently a special exhibition and it is worth 30 mins of your time. It is free. https://www.nms.ac.uk/explore-our-collections/stories/scottish-history-and-archaeology/galloway-hoard/ Best Dicker

    Newbie Question

I have looked at the recent issues but at not impressed with the level of detail. I will keep buying interesting Morgan’s from the original series. Best Dicker
