Received this yesterday courtesy of @h103efa.
I generally don't buy individual rounds but couldn't resist this, stunning wee thing.

kimchi got a reaction from Gruff in Today I Received.....
Thank you yes indeed @augur very well-spotted, even some things I hadn't!
It was very 'interesting' how I finally came to buy this piece which I never originally intended, the third and final number 3 of Ace Bullion's 3 launch rounds (I got the first two ofc!). I think @jonrms thinks I am a silly superstitious sausage, but he does know this round means a lot to me! Thank you!

A little bit late to post here...sorry @jonrms! First the forum was playing up, and then you've been under the weather (get well soon!)
I have two of his Ace Bullion rounds (one of each design) from launch which I absolutely love, but he also makes these Lest We Forget pieces. I didn't know what to quite make of them at first, they didn't really grab me to be honest. But suddenly the penny dropped so to speak and I decided the chance to get an early one was too good to miss. I would say this design has to mean something to you, and it certainly does to me now. I also know Jon is a supporter and champion of all veterans, as well as being one himself.
Anyway! I've had it for a few days now and it's such a lovely piece, so pleased! The relief is beautiful to play with and it was polished to perfection and such a clean, pure silver round, with the 'trademark' striations of the early pieces so far (great word, thanks @BackyardBullion!) on the reverse, and character lines and detail all over. It's one of my favourite pieces of poured silver and my go to 'fidget' piece for now, I am pretty certain it will become my daily carry. I tried to take pictures of how the light plays off it but it just didn't work with my ancient phone camera, so I can only post what I managed. My third round from Jon and I can say each and every one has been far better in hand than even his very good photos show.
So pleased thank you Jon!!!

Home from work and a trip to the sorting office to pick up these beauties thanks to @BackyardBullion for the great 1oz forum bars and to @StackSellRepeat for the lovely halves and the gorgeous French 50 franc and the great deal from H&B for the 2019 full sovereign.
