  1. Many thanks for the PM @BackyardBullion, I have replied to claim my bar, can't wait to see it/have it in hand!
  2. Yes but at the same time there is one 'next 1989' (I appreciate you didn't allude to that, but it's an interesting point I'm expanding on) and it is most certainly not this double imho. Just trying to make that clear for newer folk especially
  3. I don't think it's anything like it. I agree a double is a fair bet, and better having than not, but many tens of thousands of collectors have bet on this one, when it's something less obvious. Imvho the 'new 1989' will be something people have already missed, like some of the recent special Sovs (obviously we already know about the 2017s).
  4. Thanks so much @trp @HerefordBullyun@ChrisSilver@modofantasma@Happypanda88 and @Arganto!!! I have not been able to log in for a little while and am very tired tonight so no idea if I'm still in time to claim my prize, but have PMed @trp to ask! Best wishes to you all
  5. I don't see that at all mate, unless you are talking further back I have seen no difference at all over the last seven or so years?
  6. Yes that's what I've been thinking (not from experience, just from deductive reasoning). I would expect the milkspots to return in time (dependent on conditions), is that your thinking too?
  7. A bottle of gin tucked down her knickers, and a woodbine in her socks, she was a national treasure
  8. It has to be incompetence to some extent. I bought my Sovs this year weeks after release and received them in days and before some people who'd ordered on release day.
  9. Possibly related (?) the David Walliams Gibraltar 50p coins are now available in very limited numbers, the first one being The Boy in the Dress: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/19gAAOSwvPxieFHt/s-l400.png
  10. Surely there's a Youtube video waiting to be made there after filling up* at Tescos? * the car
  11. Dave, have you had any older coins that you've 'conserved' graded yet like that Sov? I know people who do their own conservation on modern proofs and manage to get the grades up. But I wonder if NGC etc would call these cleaned, not because of any evidence, just because they look far too good and clean to have survived 'naturally' like that.
  12. I stand to be corrected (and there are obviously other factors) but I believe the big traders will be moving from one to another (also going long/short), making as much as they can each time.
  13. Yes there will be a LOT. Everyone wants one, even many people who don't own other gold or have never thought about it before. If you're buying cheapest sovs in 2022 it's a no-brainer to pick these up while they're about imo. At the same time, I believe the really big winners will be previous special years for QEII, particularly the ones that have gone a bit under the radar so far, and especially proofs and some of the SotDs.
  14. How do you like it? I think the gold looks great!
  15. The forum bars continue to go from strength to strength, as usual! I'm surprised #6 lasted so long after it unexpectedly became available (the earliest available number I think)! Roll on the 100g now BYB, keep me posted please!
  16. Well, now Lawrence, you present me with quite the problem here, as I have no idea what you mean, due to your horrendous writing! Is this post still part of a (presumably) quoted passage that you never used punctuation to indicate was closed? If so, will it ever be closed? Will the circle be unbroken, as Johnny Cash so movingly and adeptly, put it? Is 'Someone' a friend/colleague/acquaintance? A strange name, perhaps, but then, recalling the likes of Man Friday, we all do our best I'm sure Likewise (or, rather, contrariwise), have you failed to capitalise 'ambiguous' here? Is it in fact a person (possibly gender unknown)? Oh! The mess one might leave behind, when one leaves (departs, flies, rejects) common sense in English, whereupon should art be only one's behind! Anyway! Got any cheap Sovs for me at the moment codger?
