Just think @MickD how much Silver we could have accrued- instead of visiting the NAAFI Bar and the Schnellimbiss on the way home- these came from a dealer in a town just up the road from Brüggen and even closer to my old camp at Menden.

Today I received a very special 1898 Sovereign. It’s special because at the start of the last century my Grandad and his school mates in Mid Wales were all gifted a Sovereign each by David Davies of Llandinam(still waiting for confirmation of which one as there were several in the same family).
My rough maths work it out to be a weeks wage at the time! Can you imagine the local lord, lady or modern equivalent going on to the local primary and doing that now!?

Today I received a massive old coin collection that used to belong to my three of my grandparents and my parents.

An 1894 20 French Francs, not particularly rare but the last piece in a big jigsaw!
Added to a slabbed 1888..
It completes a date run😃😃😃...18 Months to complete!
Note. The Paris mint did not mint these coins every year...

I received my very 1st gold coins today and they are tiny little shiny things but I'm happy to actually own some Gold
However I AM over the moon with my Auction Coins, not only was it for a great cause but I absolutely love the Scottsdale Stacker and really need to get some more of them 😁
