Worthless tat. The premiums are so stupidly high that you would never be able to use them. Novelty items, at best.

I strongly agree with @SiCole. I think it depends a fair amount on what TRM does over the next few years. Hopefully, there won't be many out-of-schedule events for them to target with 'special' releases. The main issue at the moment is that people have run out of funds and interest. There isn't really any evidence that these won't be restored with time as things level out and we return to a more predictable schedule. In my view, these releases represent a significant event in British history and they present a really good opportunity for us all to ask ourselves what we want from our collection going forward.

I totally agree that RM have saturated the market, but to be fair they are only responding to demand, I'm not an apologist for the RM, far from it, but they will mint as much as they can shift, for as long as they can shift it. The fact is, as has been pointed out many times, that this has been a remarkable period in history, with opportunity a-plenty for the RM to fire up the presses!
As for the Memorial sovereign, I like it. I think, along with the Jubilee and Coronation it can be considered part of a mini series of sovereigns marking a change of Monarch.
On a personal level I think the Memorial sovereign is probably the  prettiest of all the special reverses, and for that reason the future will be kind to it. But who knows.

In fairness it has everything going for it and with a few years of no silly special years it should do fine. In four years time no-one will care it saturated the market etc Its mad how quickly time flys and peoples opinions change.

Completely disagree. Best thing people can do is panic and put them on the forum at spot.

I really struggled to find the money but managed to buy one of each of what I wanted, with help from TSF members I hasten to add!  My attention moving forward will virtually be bullion as and when deals arise.
The market, as with many has stagnated or dropped, imho due simply to finances being squeezed in virtually every direction.
Totally agree with @Shinus73 and @SidS that it's turning into a buyer's market... if you have the cash available.

Most people are skint Lots of royal events happening at once have understandably saturated the sovereign / proof coin market (some definite long-term winners though) It's currently a buyer's market (in everything - whisky, watches, furniture etc., not just coins) If you can afford to buy now, do so If you can afford to hold, do that also

    Fatigue.
People have been bombarded by so many commemoratives since the Queen's death that they've reached exhaustion point. It'll take years for the market to recover.
And I still haven't got my Charles III five pences I've been waiting for.

Some people just need cash. Some people are sitting on multiple sets and choose not to have that amount of money tied up for another few years. If you go in knowing it's not a quick flip, then the purchase is easier to stomach.

    Define mistake.
Some people would say that if you don't buy at the rock bottom of a market, it's a mistake.
Others say that if you don't realise the most possible profit and sell at the top, it's a mistake.
And others say that if you buy something of beauty and stick it in a box for 20 years where no one can see it, it's a mistake.
    I've done all of them.

The gold will do well in years to come but not any time soon. Hold for the long term you should be good. The design is still stunning. just a very bad trading environment now, it's the perfect storm of everything currently being depressed and miserable and not selling
Luxury watch market is the same, on its arse
It's only when you cash in/ or NEED/forced to cash in selling your bits in value is relative

    Should have started sooner
Shouldn’t have purchased my first bullion from the Royal Mint
Should have put a little less into gold and a little more into investments
But let’s be honest, these are problems others would bloody love to have 👍🏼

I'm quite certain that you'll be fine.
I don't think there has ever been a specified carpet-ban on swastikas (or any other Nazi imagery) on YouTube videos/thumbnails, but just a pretty random algorithm that was/is inconsistent, and even if there was the video would just be removed rather than the channel banned. In general, you really have to go some way to get your YouTube channel outright banned. This probably doesn't apply to you but the only known limitation is that the video will probably be demonetised - so you won't be able to put ads on it.
The fact that there are plenty of videos with swastikas in them, varying from games to documentaries, and the fact that this is an educational video is pretty much all the confirmation you need that your account won't be banned.

I agree that 0% is the simplest approach, but in reality it makes no difference to what I’m willing to pay. If a 6, 10, 18% commission applies, then I will bid less accordingly.
The issue currently is that many starting prices are 10-15% above what the market is willing to pay, so 0% is irrelevant. I understand that this is driven by seller’s expectations, but they seem to expect the market from 3-4 years ago and not the current one.
