Modern proof dies are all laser cut these days, so the details in tiny coins doesn't impress me as much as it would have done on older coins.

The lone individual craftsman capable of producing one item has always impressed people more than the long series of individual designers and engineers who incrementally created the technology capable of doing the same thing en masse.  Both are impressive to me.

Very nice.  I haven't seen them pop up on any web sites yet.  Perth certainly don't list them.  If anyone was buying, I'd certainly be interested in sharing the postage costs.  If they are in the UK yet, I can't find them.

  3. £256 for 5g is currently -16.7% premium.

Dispatching invoiced goods and then requesting extra payment nearly half a year on. That might just be the straw that broke the camels back with a lot of their customers.

Yes, if you paid the invoiced amount, they would need to invoice you for the difference.  Assuming they could show they had some agreement with you that further payment would be required.

Just received this 5oz silver Zodiac coin direct from the Perth Mint.

Very straight forward ordering and amazing quality.

Only slight problem is the FedEx delivery guy forgot to charge me the import duty.

Not sure what to do about the 20% import duty shall I send it direct to Jeremy Hunt at number 11?

Using the waybill number on the docs, you could phone them.  I assume you've checked the docs on the parcel for an invoice.

I have had issues with FedEx before.  They didn't invoice me, and the first I knew was a letter from a debt collection agency, invoicing me for the duty, FedEx collection fee, plus the agency's own fee.  Very unimpressed.

I'd be tempted to be proactive.

Has anyone any inkling as to when the bullion are coming out? Getting a bit steep to get 3 x 1/4 every time, especially going forward for the next few years.🚀🌙. Nice problem of course👍

Probably right after the Panthers.  🤣

Seriously, no idea.  The schedule for the TBs seems to be all over the place.

What do you think happened to the ones you returned? Repackaged and sent back out to someone else? 🤔 or restruck and originals destroyed?

Only those in the know at RM will... er... know.

Since they sent them out before, then really there isn't anything preventing them from selling them again.  They obviously met their quality control standards the first time, however low they may be, so they could simply inspect them again for any additional damage caused by the extra round trip.

The replacements have invariably, in my experience, been better than the originals.  So who knows?

There was a proclamation published yesterday: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/4594824

    (a) a depiction of James Bond driving a hovercraft set against a background of James Bond titles with the inscription “007”; or

    (b) a depiction of the snow plane from the film Spectre set against a background of James Bond titles with the inscription “007”.

Thanks.  This hobby just goes deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole, when you need to monitor royal proclamations.

You’ll need to use the EOS Utility software to check the shutter count on Canon cameras. Once installed, follow these five steps:

    1. Turn on your camera and connect it to your computer using a USB cable.
    2. Open the EOS Utility software on your computer.
    3. Click on the “Camera Settings” tab.
    4. In the “Camera Settings” window, click on the “Shutter Count” button.
    5. The shutter count will be displayed in the “Shutter Count” window.

Lovely coins, really pleased for you.
I love the names of the nuggets ‘Welcome Stranger’, ‘Hand of Faith’ etc……..great🌞

It took longer than I care to admit to realise that the nuggets are actually named after their shape, i.e. Australia, an eagle, a hand, etc.  🤦‍♂️
