Longjon reacted to arphethean in Huge discount on Numi collection with bullion/semi numi thrown in at discount: special disposal
I would also be happy to oorganise it as a prize-based community buy since this seems to be very popular if I can get my head around how to do that in a legal way. Again I wouldn't be able to do this until January

Longjon reacted to arphethean in Huge discount on Numi collection with bullion/semi numi thrown in at discount: special disposal
I would like to buy batch 1 with the pandas please @LongJohnSilver.
If I can be of some assistance to move on the other things I am happy to put in the effort.
I would also be happy to take everything from you and post things individually on your behalf. I would only charge the buyer the actual Royal Mail price of postage, and all funds for the silver go directly to you. This I can do straight away. I would however leave advertising/listing to you.
If this is of help to you.
If you would prefer me to do a more comprehensive service including communications etc, this would have to wait until mid January as I am busy until then.

Longjon reacted to LongJohnSilver in Huge discount on Numi collection with bullion/semi numi thrown in at discount: special disposal
Hi chaps, fThanks for the suggestion but Ive had a word with myself and can actually work a bit harder myself on this.
I'll leave it a day or so if there are no biters I'll see if I can split into three if that works better for people.
Also, there's suggestion that I send the coins to someone who would be willing to try and sell them and I'd be happy for them to take a commission/expenses if thats ok and above board with the forum..
If its a member I'd happily send all the coins if they agreed to purchase a portion beforehand so no risk to anyone. If they dont sell then they can always send them back to me.
Let me have a think and i'll see what spits I can manage.

Longjon reacted to ChrisSilver in Huge discount on Numi collection with bullion/semi numi thrown in at discount: special disposal
It isn't legal to sell tickets unfortunately (other than registered charities) as otherwise it constitutes as illegal lotteries and is in breach of the gambling commission in the UK. (there are some other exceptions but it is quite complicated) That is why TSF have clear rules on members selling tickets for raffles etc, and why other such topics have been removed.
Easiest thing would be for a member who can and who is interested to purchase the lot, the total price is less than some spend on a single 1oz gold coin. I had also previously suggested in a private message to @LongJohnSilver about @BackyardBullion's service. Though he wishes to try to sell as a lot here directly. Members can also group together and split amongst themselves if they would like to, but the sale of raffle tickets on TSF unfortunately isn't allowed due to the laws set out in the UK where TSF is currently registered. Thank you for understanding.
Edit: Another suggestion would be for members to group purchase and then use as FREE Prize Draws for all forum members, not just members who entered the group buy. This would be perfectly legal and acceptable. You would be able to create a topic(s) in the competitions section for this. If agreed you would just need someone to agree to run it, and who would look after the coins etc. And would who take on any possible trade risk. TSF doesn't have the funds to purchase this whole lot, but if this suggestion was implemented by a member and 50-100 or so forum members all grouped together we can also chip in an equal amount to help out.
Or just to simply follow the traditional 'for sale' format as listed by the OP. And those who are interested can make an offer/purchase.
