I share similar concerns but can't ignore it completely.
If I could only choose one metal for some reason or I was starting now I would have to choose gold primarily but having first got silver a few years back starting from the low teens £ per oz it's a pro and a con... Makes it seem expensive now (partly due to higher spot but also premium % is higher) but puts a good bit of profit margin should I sell now.

There’s a 2012 for sale in the forum right now for £350. I thought it would have been snapped up.

Just bashed the bank account for more of that shiny golden bullion stuff. Less calories than those golden coins M&S are selling. That's probably it for me for a while now due to funds or rather a lack of!
However if anyone is good at peddling a get away car and can get hold of a shooter then I'll provide some stockings and we can go blagging to fund our metal habits...

The result can be clearly seen, though it is still tarnished to a degree

The process can be repeated for better results.

It brings a whole new meaning to the words "Captain's log, star date 2340".

Would be good if the RM did a BOGOF deal.
I would ask them but they would probably tell me to BOGOFF.

Hello All, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I have been watching You Tube videos for a little while trying to educate myself on Gold and Silver and from there heard about this Forum.  I am (loosely) a stacker, but do have to fight the urge to buy sets.  For example, I am keen to build a run of RM Valiant 10oz coins and am always open to adding another 1kg PM Kook or Koala should it come up at an attractive price (yes, gutted I have just missed one!).  The more I see the price of 1oz silver coins increase, the easier I find buying bigger denominations (bars or coins) rather than broadening the coin collection.  Still cannot understand why a 1oz silver Eagle is so much more expensive than a 1oz silver Britannia?
Looking forward to reading peoples thoughts on the prices, trading and buying more.

Forum membership is a fantastic investment.  I am a member of a number of organisations / societies, none which offer the value of TSF.
I have no “association” other than being a member.

I’m going to assume that because you live in the U.K., you probably only want to stack British silver coins.
But if you aren’t oppose to other countries’ silver coins, then I would suggest U.S. and Canadian coins. U.S. coins were silver up until 1964 and Canadian coins were silver up until 1967. I only suggest these because they are plentiful and no other reason. And I have a love for the older Canadian silver dollars.

I didn't realise Marks and Spencer had started selling coins! 😎
Our local M&S is on Victoria Road, so I should have suspected.
