The silversqueeze has failed because it was not their goal to make a bigger community but to take on the comex. And after at least 2 squeezes we see a lower price than before. I hope those "apes" will keep on squeezing so I can keep on buying my silver cheaper. But about the E-waste you are 100% correct. Silver is in most cases still a waste because the cost of the recycling process is higher than the silver price. That will change of course with higher prices as what you see with gold were almost nothing is lost in recycling.

I know Turkish people who told me that 25 years ago, the people ran to the exchange office when they got their salary to convert it in USD. Savings were often made in gold, it's also cultural to give gold as a gift. If the world was not so crazy this days, I would convert all my savings in gold but now I just keep on buying every month my salary in gold, which I don't need because I have other incomes. But in a crazy world, even my believe in gold is not sure any longer ...

That's 100% correct in my opinion ! The paper scam there is with silver will not be solved by people buying silver but by people trading in their paper silver into physical silver. But I doubt that will happen soon ... Just like you say, if you get a fake money bill you ( most people ) will try to spent it quick so they don't loose money and that game will not stop soon unless regulation will come but that's something for a phantasy world I am afraid ... My advice stays the same, believe in silver but don't believe in the hype train with prices going sky high or squeezing the market dry !

Welcome on this great forum, it will be a place were you will learn a lot more about collecting and stacking ! A LCS is a place of trust, if you do not trust the shop, don't buy there. In a lot of videos on Youtube you see them going to their coin shops so those are already a good place to go. But in the US you have so many online dealers with a great reputation as Hero Bullion, SD Bullion, apmex, ...; so if you are afraid in the beginning, just start with them and take your time in looking for a LCS that you trust.

I also buy part of my Pm's at a LCS were I do not have to show my Id-cart, also thinking that what the government doesn't know is better. But on the other side, if they would try to do a confiscation and make gold/ silver illegal to trade with except when you sell it to them, you are screwed anyway or you must flee with it to an other country. So my advice is, do not stress to much about it.

I never understand why some people always want to compare Bitcoin or make a comparison wit Pm's ... What the future will bring, nobody knows but silver will never go high like BTC, just because of his industrial use. The moment it will go to high they will just replace it and the price will drop again, big time. True, but if the price is at the highest in months or even years, you can say that you are at the top for that moment. And as with 99% of all commodities, after every top there is a drop; what the market will do after that drop, that I can not tell. ( but I can tell I have a good feeling for gold, less for silver because too many people try to hype it )

Like I predicted, gold is again a few % lower than last week, in a fluctuating market, never buy at the highest price, my 2 cents.

I buy a combination of bars, junk silver and BU coins with the cheapest price and off course a few specials to keep it a little bit a hobby and not just an investment. But buying at the lowest premium is often, not always, a good advice.

If you have a LCS in your neighborhood, go there and ask for some information and how much they want to give you, at least you have a price indication and some info.

Maybe it is something special in the UK, but in most countries pre-owned coins are indeed cheaper than the uncirculated ones what is normal. Here you often get a discount from around 5-7% if you buy a tube of pre-owned coins in perfect condition. Only catch is that you have to buy them with a full tube but the discount is big.
