  1. An American silver eagle is my only silver coin since I started buying in 2013 that just looks terrible. Other people with whom I speak about silver say the same, they also have many Silver Eagles with problems. Here it is very difficult to sell them over spott price so you loose a lot of money.
  2. Welcome on this great forum, it will be a place were you will learn a lot more about collecting and stacking !

  5. Impressive collection ! Maybe you can make some follow up postings with putting the content of box by box on a table ?
  6. I agree, in the US they do Black Friday deals on rounds and some coins but I never saw EU dealers do it before.
  7. Thx Blackadder ! It's a honor to be welcomed by my favorite British character 😁
  8. If the big reset, hyper inflation, or just a real economic cool down will happen, people will not have money to buy fancy electric cars, solar panels or other things that consumes a lot of silver. That's why I believe much more in gold for if it will go bad. On the other side, if there will not be any doom scenario, silver will have the most potential in my opinion.
  9. The danger with property is that they are ( or can ) taxing it more and more. I see it with mine, getting worse every year ...
  10. You buy for the right reasons, that's for sure. I'm buying pm's from 2013 and I have made very nice profits on them ( not that I sold any but the increase in value ) but if you look at longer periods, buying at an all time high can mean that you have to wait for 5-10 years just to get your money back. That's the reason I would be very careful now and stop buying for a short period and see what the markets and pm's will do. Certainly with silver, if the economy will cool down because of the inflation, the industrial demand for silver will also decrease big time. It are bad times, that's for sure ...
  11. The Fed did it a week ago, said they would raise the intrest rates sooner than expected so you are wrong. The stock markets went a few days in the minus but that was it. Devaluation is not longer an option, all remaining currencies who matters are connected to each other, leaving no room for significant profits by doing that.
  12. Is this the Top, no, I'm sure it can/ will go higher but I'm also pretty sure that after the Fed increases the intrest rates the price will be much lower than today.
  13. I stopped buying when gold reached around 48000-49000 euro/kg. 50000 euro/kg is my stop limit for the moment. It is now 52377 euro/kg. I think the next days/ weeks it will still get higher but when inflation will keep getting worse, intrest rates will go much higher and gold will get a big dip, at that moment I will start buying again. Lesson one in investing, that they teached me, never buy at the top !
  14. You can report aliexpress for 90% of what they sell on their site, everybody knows it but not one government or legal agency does anything ...
  15. www.goldsilver.be is just the cheapest online shop with the best service ! I see as an example the coins from Europa Bullion at a cheaper price on goldsilver.be ??
  16. I think it is more an issue of a higher cost/ coin. The Perth Mint also has excellent quality, is it the same solution as that of the RCM ? If the Royal Mint keeps selling there coins, even with a lack of quality, why would they make extra costs of improving ? Just don't buy the RM coins any more and things will change very soon !
  17. If I read these comments, the Royal Mint is really bad ... Has it the same bad quality for golden coins or are they better in the quality department ? Next month I will change my bank vault, till now I never had one coin with milk spotting on, I hope I will not have a bad surprise when looking at my older ( from 2013 ) coins ...
  18. Did not know that all silver coins can get milk spotting, learned something new; not that it is good news ... Sometimes I think I better stay with gold ...
  19. Is it so that the Perth mint coins are the safest buy if you don't want milk spotting ?
  20. Till now, since 2013 I am only stacking and not selling but if you have coins with milk spotting on, are you screwed ? Are they only good for melting and do you loose all your premiums ? On a normal BU coins that's not nice but on specials, like the Superman coin mentioned in this topic, it is a mot of money. I watched a video that you can remove them rather easy with a soft eraser, do or don't ?
  21. 15.000 is not nothing indeed but like I said I have no idea of the platina collectors.
  22. Thx a lot for your info. Very interesting and useful.
  23. I know nothing about platinum so maybe you can help me a little. Let's take the Kookaburra 1/10 coin. It has a mintage of 1500 what is low if you compare it with gold or silver but is there a collector's market in platina or is it more for stacking/ investment ?
