  1. Haha, as soon as I posted that it suddenly made sense and I feel very daft now!
  2. Well I must admit, I don't understand that explanation at all This is what I'm seeing and it doesn't make sense to me: .....
  3. How would you expect them to tell if you've spent more than 10k in a year if they have no record of earlier purchases?
  4. Is this why we're not supposed to clean older coins. 😆
  5. I'd still expect a dealer to record and retain your personal details even for a tiny purchase that falls well below that limit, otherwise it would be impossible for the dealer to track your overall spend in a series of linked transactions. For example, I suspect a dealer would not be meeting their obligations if anyone could purchase a £600 tube of silver Britannias every day for a year without anything being recorded. But that's just what I think - I expect @LawrenceChard is the most knowledgeable on what's actually required
  6. Something like that. I'd have though they would have to keep a record of it all for 5 years to meet anti-money laundering obligations.
  7. They'd be dodgy if they didn't record your personal data as that's surely a legal requirement?
  8. Blimey, it looks a lot more than 14oz when it's laid out like that!
  9. Maybe it's just to stop existing owners asking for their free foam to be sent to them!
  10. I love how they've included an explanatory note! But it makes me wonder.... what bad things could happen if you don't remove it upon delivery?!
  11. Pay by credit card and there's not really much risk in the worst case? Personally I wouldn't consider buying anything until they fix their website - Silver prices being shown as including VAT, but then adding even more VAT in the checkout? Confusing...
  12. Yes, I'd expect it to be 7.5g of 999 silver. The description is a bit clumsy to say it's silver plated, but it also says the base metal is 999 silver.
  13. An unexpected bargain at the koin club! Only one left, and I'm not linking it - so everyone has a fair chance at racing to snap it up
  14. Yes, still seems worth it if you can find suitably good value things to buy from BBP. Thanks for pointing it out!
  15. That's pretty bad isn't it! It's much clearer on the desktop site:
  16. Just for the hell of it initially, but I think I'll only keep the middle one and add the other two to the present pile. Each is limited to 999 pieces worldwide apparently.
  17. I don't normally go for coloured coins, but hey, it's Christmas!
  18. Oh my goodness, the photograph I found in the bottom of my mystery box makes even more sense now!
  19. They're in stock here: https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/platinum-coins/platinum-britannia/2021-tenth-platinum-britannia-coin/
  20. Well if you manage to buy all 411 of them at crazy prices, you can control the new even-crazier prices!
  21. After wasting hours and enduring multiple problems with getting some wrongly packaged coins sorted out by RM, I have eventually got them back, plus a free coin to make up for the mess! Gotta say, they really know how to make up for a problem on this occasion (even though I'd rather there weren't any in the first place!) 😍 😍 😍 😍
  22. I think someone on here bought one of those a few months ago. It looked reasonable to me, but you probably wouldn't want to take it out of the capsule in case it bends in half
  23. Looks like it. Oh well, still reasonably pleased with it, as I was going to be buying that book anyway and I was also on the lookout for any piedfort 50p.
