The double sovereign proof mintage is 1,310. Assuming they're keeping 10 for the Trial of the Pyx, that leaves an extra 100 coins after they've put them in the 4-coin and 5-coin sets. What will the remaining 100 be available as?

I got my confirmation email on the 5-coin set at 08:40. Seeing as I didn't do anything other than refresh their landing page until the product appeared, I'd be very miffed if they do cancel any pre-9am orders!

It does seem to have been a bit of a cockup, but everyone's in favour of a cockup when it works to their advantage!

Someone on here bought one of those 0.5g coins from that place (maybe a month or so ago?) I thought it looked quite reasonable for the price, as long as you manage not to accidentally fold it in half by looking at it too hard 😀 I'd love to buy a bundle of random ~1g coins by weight if you (Chards) want to do that!

It depends when the prices are set. Gold proof coins are usually a fixed price that doesn't dynamically change depending on the spot price of gold (the hefty premium gives them a lot of safety room!) and the prices would have been set some time ago so other retailers would know what they are. So even though the price of gold has shot up quite a bit over the past week, you could reasonably expect them to be priced a bit less than your guess

I can't remember what the Sovereign release offerings typically are - what sets and individual coins are there likely to be?
