  1. Or giving stuff to your kids long before you're likely to be wearing a wooden overcoat. So long as you have enough to survive on!
  2. Back on topic... I'm backing this belter which I didn't even know was a thing until accidentally bumping into it: https://tavexbullion.co.uk/silver/1-kg-british-britannia-silver-coin/ The Yorkshire man in me is grumbling about the premium. It's bigger than a Boris Johnson fib!
  3. Is kettle stacking the new thing? 🥸 More useful than a tube of silver!!!
  4. Snatch? Wasn't that the dodgy looking Jewish guys robbing diamonds with the legend that is Mike Reid fencing?
  5. Someone will always buy it. A pawnbroker like Ramsdens as an example will want proof of who YOU are when buying stuff. They can legitimately record they bought X off of Mr/Mrs Y. If Mr/Mrs Y acquired the item from nefarious means that is not their problem. Receipts are meaningless. Unless trying to take faulty electronics etc. etc. back for replacement... Insanity?
  6. Jeez. Sounds like a clown show! I'm sticking with what I know and trust - Chards and BBP where necessary!
  7. I love whisky but I'm banned from touching any alcohol. Haven't had a drop in years. But if somebody can absolutely guarantee that I'm for my wooden box in a few hours time I have a rather splendid 44 year old Golden Bowmore to help me on my way! 😊

What if Charlie dons a sparkly frock and identifies as Shirley on Saturdays? Limited edition proof Shirley set....
  9. I would have thought a brown envelope of cash and a meet at Watford Gap in true Georgie Graham style...
  10. Evening! May I have a tube if you still have one? Won't be able to make payment until Monday evening. Thanks 😊
  11. Well if it does fancy wandering to £28 an ounce I'll be busy off loading... ...then buying it back when it merrily heads down again. Always in cycles...
  12. My bank would be convinced me bank transferring £0 was a scam and get the tar and feathers out again
  13. Despite BBP being at the higher end of the pricing scale they have been very very busy for some time - which shows price isn't putting punters off or punters don't perform an abundance of research. My last big purchase from them was a stack of Queens Beast gold completers, for which I was very happy at paying only £25 per coin more than a Brit. Some pricing is very fair.
  14. WisdomTree have physical gold and physical silver funds. Look at past performance and you will find it very closely reflects the prices of gold and silver. You should be able to hold these in pretty much any SIPP. I have a significant percentage of my pension in both of these funds. This would potentially resolve your dilemma. From your list if sticking with your original plan I would commend Bullion By Post for their integrity. Not the cheapest, don't pretend to be either.
  15. Not that I've used him, but BYB acting as an intermediary should give you some comfort.
  16. One of the reasons I don't go within a million miles of Half Sovs... can't see the damned coin, never mind the detail!
  17. Cheers. Either I need my eyes testing or that's a 2016! Specsavers?
  18. 2028 huh, you got an early release!!! Can you put up pics of the 2018. Pretty sure that is missing from my stash...
  19. I know the Krug isn't the prettiest coin - though I confess to liking the simplicity - they are usually obtainable at the lowest premium of any gold coin in my - admittedly limited - experience. Chards currently are trading them at a 2.45% premium for a random year of their choosing. Their cheapest Brit is a new Charlie at 3.75% premium. Probably more easily shifted if you stuff them in your pockets and wander overseas too.
  20. I would say leave in the case. The naughty bit of me says ebay auction it and cross fingers that someone gets excited and overpays. Caveat emptor and all that.
  21. If you do get some more I would be pleased to do business again 😊

I think you've hit on a great money making opportunity here... no such thing as a poor religion after all. And Broccoli can be thanked for it's tasty goodness, as opposed to thanking fictitious characters in c**p stories.
